Lighthouse in Watercolor Hand Panting

Lighthouse is always a fascinating building to see in every seaside. I love the shape, the red and the white colors. Matching with my Nautical Summer theme, I hand drew a Lighthouse by seaside which I hand painted it with watercolor.

lighthouse is a tower designed to serve as a navigational aid for maritime pilots at sea or on inland waterways by emitting light. Basically, lighthouse has two types: a lighthouse on a land and on the offshore. A land lighthouse is simply built to aid navigation more over the land than water. Usually constructed in flatland where a bright lantern could be visible for many miles for traveler who’s disorientated and lost.

Lighthouses mostly mark dangerous coastlines, and were used widely. But due to high maintenance and increasing use of electronic navigational systems, slowly the number of operational lighthouses has declined. Many lighthouses are abandoned and deteriorated along with passing time. Afterwards, the lighthouse become more as preserved building.

I try to preserve it in a hand painted watercolor painting. The lighthouse on a sloping green by the calm sea. A serene look of tough lighthouse. I sketched it with pencil. I painted it with natural colors of brush pen. And for the watercolor, I used red, white, blue, ochre and green.

A framed painting could be a great piece to decorate your home. Especially a piece you made, a conversation starter with your guests. Well, hope my Lighthouse in watercolor hand painting inspires you in anything, to paint, to have a vacation, to write a poem, anything that makes you think of seaside, beach, breezy summer, all the coastal beauty.

Home Office Plus Kid’s Room on Garden – Interior

Home Office Plus Kid’s Room on Garden – Interior

Hello again, on my previous post I have designed a place on the back garden, an office, a sanctuary, a place for little gathering with closed friends and family, hobbies room and a little place for my kid to play. Yes, a place of home office plus kid’s room on a garden. I have shown the floor plan on my previous post (Home Office Plus Kid’s Room on Garden – Floor Plan). This tiny little house has a mezzanine for the kid’s room while the office is under the mezzanine.

Picture75

The house is consist of office area, sitting area and on the mezzanine is the kid’s play room. It’s 2.8 m x 2.8 m, with the height of 2.5 m and minus 0.7 m from the ground level, that would make the total height  of 3.2 m. So, I’m sure anyone can build it on their backyard without any permission what so ever. The office area height to the mezzanine is 1.8 m and the mezzanine area is only 2.8 m x 1.4 m. So, the sitting area will be the cleared space with high ceiling.

So, these are the perspectives of the interior from the side-front view and side-rear view.

Picture73

The interior is a white wooden flooring, white wall, white as a based color. Second color is turquoise, third is yellow and grey. A dash of nautical ambience which goes along with summer colors palette to get a holiday feeling of refreshing. Huge french door and windows on the front side of the garden house for maximum light.

The office has a long “L” shape table to do kinds of work which I love, bigger table, more space to do your creativity. Storage under table, squeeze in a mini fridge for myself and entertaining friends; which you can do it in the sitting area. The sitting area has a sofa and a banquette which also serve as storage maybe for some blanket or pillows.

Picture74

The mezzanine has a little sofa, a set of little table and chair, a yellow bean bag, a blackboard and some nautical decorations. And the great part is, a huge storage for toys and crafts; the long shelve which also act as the railing for the mezzanine is perfect for storage.

On my next post, there will be the exterior views to complete the whole design of the home office plus kid’s room on garden.

See you!

Home Office Plus Kid’s Room Design On The Garden – Floor Plan

Home Office Plus Kid’s Room Design On The Garden – Floor Plan

Dear stayed home mommies or stayed home daddies,

I have some questions for you:

  • Have you ever wanted a place to work or an office at home?
  • Have you ever wanted to look out for your kids while they’re playing but you still be able to work?
  • Have you ever wanted a place to work at home but not inside your house?
  • Have your ever wanted a unique home office where you can bring your friends inside and have a little gathering?
  • Have you ever wanted a little sanctuary in your garden?
  • Have you ever wanted a tiny little house at your backyard garden?
  • Have you ever wanted your kids to have a play room or a play room outside the house?

Well, those wanted ideas are in my head all the time. So, I started to think of wanting to have a little place on the backyard by the garden, where I can use it for an office, a sanctuary, a place I can stay away from my house but still at home, where I can have a little gathering with closed friends and family, a place for doing my hobbies and work but I can still watch my kid, and of course a cool place for my kid to have as a play room.

Picture71

So, I’m designing this little place of home office plus kid’s room on a garden. I just finished the floor plan. This tiny little house has a mezzanine for the kid’s room while the office is under the mezzanine. There is also a little sitting area with a sofa for sitting or a day bed and a chest for storage and seats. It’s a mini house of 2.8 m x 2.8 m, with the height of 2.5 m and minus 0.7 m from the ground level, that would make the total height  of 3.2 m. So, I’m sure anyone can build it on their backyard without any permission what so ever. The office area height to the mezzanine is 1.8 m and the mezzanine area is only 2.8 m x 1.4 m. So, the sitting area will be the cleared space with high ceiling.

Picture72

What I had in mind for the interior is a white wooden flooring, white wall, basically dominant white. Then mixed it with turquoise, complimented with yellow and grey. A nautical colors you can say and it goes along with summer colors palette. It seems more like holiday spirit to have slightly nautical theme, it relates with a beach.

For the exterior, I think of some uses of awning, tin roof, aluminium or timber. I still considering the best cheap durable choices for this garden house of home office plus kid’s room design.

I have only done the sketches for the interior and exterior, so for my next post I will complete the interior and exterior view with colors. Need to find some quite time to finished the drawings 🙂

Well then, I got to go continue my home office and kid’s room design on garden drawings, it’s all still clouded in my head, got to pour it all on the paper.

See You!

Have a creative Sunday!

DIY Artwork – Truck Drawing for Kid’s Room

DIY Artwork – Truck Drawing for Kid’s Room

Hello everyone! Finally I finished my whole drawings of VW 1967 Bug Truck in red color. On my previous post (Truck Sketches for Kid’s Playroom), I have done 2 smaller drawings, which were front view and side view of the VW bug truck. For completing the artwork for my kid’s room, I drew the bigger view of the red truck plus the artsy wording of the truck’s name.

Picture67

I haven’t decide it yet on where to hang the artwork of the truck drawing. So, I just put it in the table on my kid’s room. I used a white simple frame; well, actually that’s the only available frame I have that fits the size of the truck drawing. And I don’t have the bigger frame either.

Picture68

I sketched it with pencil then I colored it with watercolor pencils. I don’t use too many colors, mostly red, blue and black. I want the VW ’67 Bug Truck to be the spotlight of the drawing, that is why I have them in red.

Picture69

My husband loves it, my son said “it’s beautiful, mommy!” , so it’s more than enough to me, it is well paid-off after spending times coloring the truck drawings. And I love to see it in my kid’s room. It’s screams for Boys!

Picture70

Well, I hope you all enjoy my artwork of VW 1967 bug truck for kid’s room. Or even more, got inspired! It can also a great artwork for Father’s Day gift which has passed.

See you!

Blooming Beauty – Pencil Sketch Drawing

Blooming Beauty – Pencil Sketch Drawing

Yesterday afternoon, I Just chilled out for while when suddenly I had an urge to draw a beautiful girl with big pretty eyes. It’s been a long time since I draw girls in pencil sketch. I used to draw that a lot.

Picture23

Her eyes are so big and pretty that reminds me of spring time where flowers are blooming. and a girl’s beauty is blooming on the young age. That is why I named it “Blooming Beauty”.

Picture21

I add a big fabric flower to her dress for the spring touch.

Picture20

So, I hope you enjoy my drawing, and maybe you should try it. Then when it’s done, frame it or use it as a collage and decor your home with your handmade piece.

Note: Thanks for Paint Party Friday and Try It On Tuesday for letting me join your wonderful site.
