Last week I’ve shared my beach home design which divided into two posts; first was the beach house exterior and the second post was the bedroom view of the beach home. Now on this post I’ve managed finished the floor plan, section and outdoor shower of the beach home in watercolor paint.

Picture35

Let me refresh you with the beach house dimension. This is a tiny beach home with the size of 2.5 m x 5 m (around 8.2 ft x 16.4 ft) which included front and rear patio. An attic serves as a bedroom and on the first floor, the beach house is loaded with a pantry, a toilet, a sitting room, little front patio and an outdoor shower which in the same area with the entrance staircase (rear patio).

I had the beach home outdoor shower and floor plan painted in watercolor. I used some drawing pens as the outline while brush pen and watercolor to paint the whole drawings.

Picture37

Now, after you go through my third post of the beach house design, I hope you get the whole picture of my beach home design which I presented in watercolor. The floor plan, the outdoor shower, the bedroom view and the exterior perspective should give you enough look of the best feature rooms of the beach house. Enjoy the beach!

Tree House For Entertainment – Exterior And Interior

Tree House For Entertainment – Exterior And Interior

Inspired by autumn, I have designed a tree house for adults to entertain friends and family in a small gathering. On my previous post, Entertaining Tree House Design; I have shown the floor plan, which was only one entertaining room with mini bar plus pantry and a spacious seating room. The seating room and the mini bar are facing to the glass openings with generous outside view.

Picture54Picture55

This entertaining tree house can be built attached to a huge tree on a backyard to get more view from the tree house’s large openings. My tree house design is 3 m x 6 m (around 10 ft x 20 ft) with the height of 2.5 m (around 8.2 ft) floor to ceiling and floating 2 meter (around 6.5 ft) above the ground. Modern clean lines with minimalist exterior and reinforced by steel structure of one column with cantilever system.

Picture57

The seating area was completed with banquette seating which provides storage and flexibility to be re-arranged as desired, like maybe into a bed. A small space for you to relax and have a small gathering to be entertained and entertaining. You can even convert it into a painting room, craft room, a writing room, a home office or just a place to do some yoga. It’s a great place to spent time outside the house to get more privacy and tranquility without being far away from your home.

Picture59

To complete the design of my tree house, I provided a floor plan, front elevation and side elevation from last post and here are the exterior perspective and two interior perspectives which showed the mini bar / pantry and seating area. As it is for entertaining purpose, I tried to put some gold ambience in the white, black and brown colors scheme.

Maybe you got inspired to get your own tree house or an entertaining room outside your home? Let me know in comments, and what would it look like if you wanna build one?

I chose the minimalist house as it is most guys are not into too many furniture and details. Most guys would love the simple, functional and efficient home that does not need a lot of decorative elements. From the shape of the house to the layout and interior (later on my next post) are already scream for minimalism.

Shabby Farmhouse Style Of Organized At Home – Work Station

Shabby Farmhouse Style Of Organized At Home – Work Station

I love to sketch some interior of one area, or one room or simply one function. This a small functional area at home that I had in mind. A work station, yes, an area that often neglected in term of home decor or styling. Actually, work station at home is a very significant place for us to gain our creativity, inspiration, and mood. For me, a work station should be:

1. Organized and in-order

So it would not be difficult to work; like finding things we need, finding un-clutter space to work,  bring some peaceful mind to work. So here’s what to do:

  • Tidy up your working station, organized your stuff and keep it in wall organizer, drawer, boxes, etc.
  • Organized your activity every day, like making a to-do list, reminders and organized it on wall boards.
  • Always leave enough empty space in your desk, do not stack all your stuff on your desk, leave some room for your creativity to take the stage.

Picture31

2. Beautiful and stylish

This is the most important ingredient in mood and inspiration recipe. Great looking work station and personal favorite touch will boost your creativity; well at least I do. so, style your work station with your favorite things, colors, patterns, style. in the end, your very personal touch will shown on your at home – work station.

Picture32

Pinterest-icon

In my design of this mini at home-work station, I choose to finish it with blue shabby farmhouse style. It is calm and sweet with the shabby touch and have strong character from the rustic look of farmhouse style.

The drawing is using drawing pen that I finished with watercolor pencil. It is a drawing that you can add anything later to expand the design of the room. Well, maybe I will do that someday 🙂

Well, I hope you enjoy my design of this small area of organized at home – work station with shabby farmhouse style.

Blue Garden House of Home Office and Kid’s Play Room

Blue Garden House of Home Office and Kid’s Play Room

Hi guys! So relieved that I have completed the garden house of home office with kid’s play room design. On my related first post (Home Office Plus Kid’s Room on Garden – Floor Plan) I have shown and described the floor plan and my second post ( Home Office Plus Kid’s Room on Garden – Interior), I have shown and described the interior from 2 different views to give more detail look on the design.

Picture72

Just to refresh, the house is consist of office area, sitting area and on the mezzanine is the kid’s play room. It’s 2.8 m x 2.8 m, with the height of 2.5 m and minus 0.7 m from the ground level, that would make the total height of 3.2 m. The office area height to the mezzanine is 1.8 m and the mezzanine area is only 2.8 m x 1.4 m. So, the sitting area will be the cleared space with high ceiling.

Picture75

For the exterior color palette, I had it in blue, white and grey. The light blue came from the awnings on the terrace and windows. The dark blue came from the wooden plank on the side upper wall and the painted tin roof. The white was from the awnings, french door and french windows. The grey was coming from the tin roof which used as the wall. So, the exterior color palettes are still lingered to the interior color palettes.

Picture77

The garden house exterior is very simple but yet inviting. The cozy shaded terrace with the looking through french door and windows are inviting people to come in. You can work inside the garden house, your kids can have fun under your supervision on the play room mezzanine and you can invite some of your close friends or clients to have some cup of coffee or tea and chat. It is also a great sanctuary, could be a man cave, woman cave, kid cave, whatever! it’s a fun place to work and relax.

Picture76

This simple garden house is easily built with timber structure or light steel structure. The exterior finishes that I chose was wooden panels and tin roof as the wall. Then just cover the interior wall with gypsum panels, plywood or particle boards. It’s a choice to build more penny on the garden house or less penny.

Well, I hope you enjoy my design, the blue garden home of home office and kid’s play room. Right now it’s still on a paper, but who knows one day I get a chance to build it.

Every month I design a tiny scale of architecture which completed with the interior details for my exploration and your inspiration. The first architecture design post I’ve done was on last month,  Tiny Home for Holiday or Guest House With a Courtyard (Part 1)  , Tiny Home for Holiday or Guest House With a Courtyard (Part 2)Tiny Home for Holiday or Guest House With a Courtyard (Part 3), Tiny Home for Holiday or Guest House With a Courtyard Design. Home Office Plus Kid’s Room on Garden – Interior

Home Office Plus Kid’s Room on Garden – Interior

Hello again, on my previous post I have designed a place on the back garden, an office, a sanctuary, a place for little gathering with closed friends and family, hobbies room and a little place for my kid to play. Yes, a place of home office plus kid’s room on a garden. I have shown the floor plan on my previous post (Home Office Plus Kid’s Room on Garden – Floor Plan). This tiny little house has a mezzanine for the kid’s room while the office is under the mezzanine.

Picture75

The house is consist of office area, sitting area and on the mezzanine is the kid’s play room. It’s 2.8 m x 2.8 m, with the height of 2.5 m and minus 0.7 m from the ground level, that would make the total height  of 3.2 m. So, I’m sure anyone can build it on their backyard without any permission what so ever. The office area height to the mezzanine is 1.8 m and the mezzanine area is only 2.8 m x 1.4 m. So, the sitting area will be the cleared space with high ceiling.

So, these are the perspectives of the interior from the side-front view and side-rear view.

Picture73

The interior is a white wooden flooring, white wall, white as a based color. Second color is turquoise, third is yellow and grey. A dash of nautical ambience which goes along with summer colors palette to get a holiday feeling of refreshing. Huge french door and windows on the front side of the garden house for maximum light.

The office has a long “L” shape table to do kinds of work which I love, bigger table, more space to do your creativity. Storage under table, squeeze in a mini fridge for myself and entertaining friends; which you can do it in the sitting area. The sitting area has a sofa and a banquette which also serve as storage maybe for some blanket or pillows.

Picture74

The mezzanine has a little sofa, a set of little table and chair, a yellow bean bag, a blackboard and some nautical decorations. And the great part is, a huge storage for toys and crafts; the long shelve which also act as the railing for the mezzanine is perfect for storage.

On my next post, there will be the exterior views to complete the whole design of the home office plus kid’s room on garden.

See you!

Note: I entered Party Paint Friday

Creative all day!

Tiny Home for Holiday or Guest House With a Courtyard Design

Tiny Home for Holiday or Guest House With a Courtyard Design

Finally I finished my drawings to complete my design of a tiny home that can be functioned as a holiday house or a guest house, depend on what site do you want to build in. this tiny home that I designed more as a second house is trying to bring outside in and inside out. This tiny home can also placed at a very small site as the building itself only 4m x 8m (around 13 ft x 26 ft) with 4m ceiling height which divided into:

Picture9

  1. Main Area

The main area as the entrance of the tiny home with 4 m x 4 m wide, covered for:

  • Kitchen
  • Breakfast Bar
  • Dining Banquette
  • Sitting Nook

Lots of sitting area and open plan are great for entertaining and gathering. And the banquette can serves as storage as well. It would be great to zip your coffee or tea in the morning by sitting on the breakfast bar looking at the window to the courtyard, what a relaxing morning!

The color palette I used is white as the prime color and as for secondary color is blue with lavender accent. The flooring is light honey yellow solid oak.

Picture18

2. Courtyard

This is not just a glass covered garden for sitting but also an outdoor bathtub. The size is 4 m x 2 m.

Picture16Picture17

3. Second Area

A room of 4 m x 3 m which enough for a queen even king size bed. Also has space for closet and a semi exposed powder room. I used white as the primary color of the interior with lavender as secondary color and gold touch as an accent. The flooring is same as the main area which is light honey yellow solid oak.

Picture15

Picture14

The main structure can be built with steel then covered with timber plank or just using solid timber and exposed. That is up to the budget. This could be a high budget project mostly due to its uses of lots of glass panel. So, this is quite an idealistic design.

If you wanted to see how my drawings and design process, you can check out my first, second and third post of the Tiny Home for Holiday or Guest House With a Courtyard. I also play in Party Paint Friday.

Well, see you soon with more ideas!

STYLE YOUR DESK WITH DAILY COLOR MOOD- GREEN

Style your desk with daily color mood – green; and experience the green Thursday of earthy feeling.

STYLE YOUR DESK WITH DAILY COLOR MOOD- GREEN

Green Thursday – Have an earthy day!

It is Thursday, many days you have faced through a week, it is time to be humble after all you have achieved from Monday to Wednesday. The best way to express your humble or down to earth mood is to be earthy. And one of the closest color to describe the earthy feeling is green. So, let’s style your desk with daily color mood – green.

According to 60-30-10 rule that I mentioned on my earlier post (yellow Wednesday); the 60% dominant color is grey looking (the wall), the 30% secondary color is white (table, wall shelve, etc) and the 10% accent is green (nice green decorations and stationery).

Picture11

I keep explaining the 60-30-10 rule because it is very important to have a balanced color and pattern mixed. Unless you wanted a monochrome color only, but isn’t boring? Plain boring indeed. Of course we have to mixed color and pattern in order to achieve higher level of design. And the 60-30-10 rule will keep you in a right order, not too much but just right.

Pinterest-icon

Picture10

So, whatever color you choose, always be creative in choosing the right elements, especially the one that will accentuate the entire design. For example, among the green elements where green is the accent color; one very stand out green element is the green plant I have on my book shelve above the table. The way its green leaves dangling from the white shelve gracefully, really stole the show. And the earthy feelings suddenly surrounds you.

Well, enough for dramatization, just get yourself to style your desk with daily color mood – green; and experience the green Thursday of earthy feeling.

See you on Friday

DARK AND OLD INTO BRIGHT AND NEW – Home Styling

Easy home styling! My furniture really have a new look! You don’t have to change anything to the furniture, just style it a little bit.

Sometimes you find your existing furniture becomes irritating to your eyes but you don’t want to spend more money or just unable to change it because it goes with you rented house/apartment.

No need sore eyes, no need much money, no need hard work. I’m going to share my trick to solve it. Just put on something nice on to the furniture (home styling) and it will look better and suit you more.

For example, this was my old table and chairs, its bulky, dark and boring old. So i try to find something bright and more updated decoration for the table and the chairs. But first thing i had to do was to determine the bright color scheme that i prefered. Here i used white as the dominant color scheme so it would look bright and modern.

dec01-1

On the table, i have a white lacy tablecloth with a white picture frame and a little glass vase with vintage roses. Then for the chairs, i made two ivory sitting bases and put two grey flowers pattern pillows.

dec01-2

There, easy home styling! My furniture really have a new look! You don’t have to change anything to the furniture, just style it a little bit.

Well, you can have other color scheme that you favor, just choose a bright color as the main color scheme and then add some other bright color that compliment the main color scheme. You can also style more by incoporating pattern with solid color. Remember to be consistent to the color scheme you have chosen.

I hope my today’s tips on home styling can help you brighten your space and your day. Be creative! See you!
