Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #426 Gardening Ideas

Welcome to Happiness is Homemade!

Since the spring weather has gotten us in the mood to venture outdoors, Allyson, from Southern Sunflowers has chosen five garden-related entries to be featured this week. Let’s find out what we can learn from these gardening posts. On to the features!

This Week’s Features!

Ann, of Ann’s Entitled Life, teaches us how to grow vegetables in garden soil bags. What? I never knew this could be a possibility! Just look at those healthy veggies growing. Hop over to her blog and follow the instructions to replicate her gardening style.

Five Spot Green Living tells us how to make pesticides from orange peels for a natural way to repel pests in your garden. Visit their blog to find out what insects their solution repels. Go natural for our environment!

Lisa, at Condo Blues, has a great idea for a DIY hanging herb garden for small spaces. For an even better idea, she made the hanging planter to be self-watering! Lisa’s patio was a little crowded with other plantings so she decided “if you can’t go out, go up,” so a hanging garden was her solution.

Corine, from Junk to Gems, shows us how she made a farmhouse bucket planter for her front porch. Her supplies not only included a galvanized pail and watering can, but also a recycled item and a Dollar Tree supply. Sounds intriguing, doesn’t it?
