Happiness Is Homemade 531

Welcome to the Happiness is Homemade Link Party 531. We are excited about another month of sharing, linking, reading, Pinning and inspiration. Linda, from A Labour of Life is our hostess for the month of May, so let’s get started

As I said last week though, when my life gets overwhelming I seek inspiration from all of you. Hoping to get some fun ideas this week with Happiness is Homemade 531.

Cinco De Mayo Table

The Painted Apron did me proud with a beautiful tablescape. The foyer table is ready for Cinco de Mayo and a fiesta of flavors with small faux cacti that can become party favors. How seriously on point is this for this weeks theme?

Crock Pot Chicken Tacos

Can we celebrate without Tacos, I think not. This easy crockpot chicken tacos recipe from Organized Island doesn’t get any easier with 3 simple ingredients in your slow cooker. These just take a few minutes of prep time and they practically cook themselves.

Cinco de Mayo Charcuterie Board

Check out this fun Cinco de Mayo Charcuterie Board from 3 Boys and A Dog! It’s full of festive snacks that are perfect for the May celebration! If you need ideas for a Cinco de Mayo party, use this as a yummy appetizer for your guests.

Frozen Bananas Foster Cocktail

You can’t celebrate Cinco De Mayo without a cocktail right? While I didn’t find a margarita to share I did find a tasty Frozen Banana Foster from Cook Eat Go.These Frozen Bananas Foster Cocktails are perfect for any get-together!!

Frozen Lemonade Pie Recipe

I didn’t find a themed craft but how about a themed dessert. Walking on Shines Frozen Pie just seemed to work. Summer dessert perfection! This frozen lemonade pie recipe is a breeze to make with just a few ingredients. Frozen lemonade, creamy ice cream, and a sweet graham cracker crust create a flavor explosion that’s perfect on a hot summer day.

When I was in high school I was able to go on an INCREDIBLE trip to Greece – it was absolutely life changing! One of my favorite aspects of the trip was the amazing food, and I was introduced to tzikiki. So fresh and yummy, so here’s a recipe for Tzatziki Chicken Salad that I will definitely be trying this summer!

The next fun holiday I like to celebrate is Cinco De Mayo and I saw this tutorial for Mini Pinatas – perfect way to get the kids involved!
