Thanksgiving is counting in days. Preparing Thanksgiving from the meals to decorations take a lot of time and effort, which need a Thanksgiving planning. And of course budget is the main idea. If the budget is also your concern, then I have a great idea for saving some budget on Thanksgiving decoration. An upcycled Thanksgiving project would be a perfect idea to press down your Thanksgiving budget. Like what I did is to upcycling a fry pan into a Thanksgiving pumpkin for decoration. Easy and cheap Thanksgiving sign you can make in short time. Let’s find out more on what to prepare and how to make this DIY Pumpkin Fry Pan.
Things To Prepare
I think any household would have an old fry pan. Most of the time it’s just laying somewhere or thrown into a trash bin. Well, this time, save your and make use of your old fry pan. In details, let’s find out what are the supplies I use to make this DIY Pumpkin Fry Pan :
How To Make
Upcycling and recycling are my first options in any of my diy projects. It’s such a waste to throw something with potential. And of course we help to be more green in a very easy and pleasant way. Anyway, this fry pan – pumpkin is easy, cheap, you can be creative with it. The pan will be the pumpkin and the handle will be the stalk and used to hang your Thanksgiving pumpkin sign. So, what are you waiting for? Gather all the supplies I’ve mentioned above and follow these steps on how to make DIY Pumpkin – Fry Pan :
1 . Make sure your old fry pan is clean as you need a clean surface to paint with. It will not stick if the fry pan is dirty or greasy. Paint it in white and wait until it’s dry to proceed with the next step.
2 .Paint some lines, effortless, to show the pumpkin lines. Use a light blue mixed with a little darker blue. Let it dry
3. Get a black marker and write “BLESSED” in the middle of the fry pan pumpkin.
4. Add a blue ribbon and tie a bow on the top of the pumpkin. I made my blue bow together with a white lace. I glue it all, so it’s no-sew bow. I used a blue fabric to make the bow. Glue the bow by using hot glue. And your pumpkin fry pan is ready for your Thanksgiving decor.
Many ways to have this pumpkin fry pan looks, aside from my white and blue, you can use pumpkin color, or black and gold, even blue and white (the other way around from mine). It depends on your taste and of course your color scheme for your Thanksgiving decor this year.

Happy Sunday. I hope that your weekend is going well. We are almost half way through November. I always wish that this time of the year that it would go slowly, but it never does.
For now I am focusing on Thanksgiving and then I will begin to decorate for Christmas. Are you decorating for Christmas or do you wait until after Thanksgiving?
For the features this week, I choose a mixture of things, I hope you enjoy them.

Halloween is over and we are moving onto Thanksgiving (if you celebrate it) That usually means great recipes, lovely table settings, decor and pumpkin ideas. With that in mind, I picked some fall and Thanksgiving ideas. On to the features:
November is coming, fall is getting near to the end; with Thanksgiving is on the way. I’m sure many Thanksgiving plans to do along early November. Preparations and planning are listed in your head, but hey, it would be easier if you write it all per date in a calendar. Therefor, it is time for me to share my FREE Printable November 2021 Calendar! Write down all your exciting plans on each day’s column for this November 2021.
For this November I use a turkey drawing I made for a free printable Thanksgiving Tag. I drew it and colored it with color pencils. Happy Halloween, and welcome to Happiness is Homemade! We’re so glad you’re here to share and explore with us. All of you talented bloggers have yet again made it so hard to choose only a handful to be featured. So, let’s get started!
Since today is Halloween, I had to choose one last Halloween post. This garden party by Hyacinths for the Soul is bear-y cute! Sarah set up a fun and treat filled afternoon for her great-nieces both inside and outside her home. Sarah had hot chocolate, Oreos, and Halloween teddy bears for her nieces, and I’m sure they loved it!
I had to choose this refinished dresser by our own Beverly at Eclectic Red Barn. Beautiful make-over project indeed!
We have one more month to decorate our homes for fall, and Denise at My Home of All Seasons has some great inspiration for us to decorate with our fall baskets. I love the ways that she used six of her baskets to bring fall into her home. There are also some great tips in the post for how to fill your baskets without having to find a ton of items to put in them.
Thanksgiving is almost here which means it’s time to slow down and begin to think of all of the things we have to be thankful for this year. Carol at Blue Sky at Home made a stenciled wood sign that lists things that we can all be grateful for. In her post she gives a step-by-step tutorial for painting and making your own beautiful sign that you can customize to fit your family and home!
Our final feature this month is this gorgeously styled Thanksgiving tiered-tray by Lori at Dining Delight. She is from Canada, where they have already had their Thanksgiving day. We in the US get the benefit of that, because we can use her tray as inspiration for our own tiered-trays and vignettes. I love how she used items like bowls to lift up the houses and pumpkins so that you can see everything on the tray.
