DIY Pumpkin Fry Pan

Thanksgiving is counting in days. Preparing Thanksgiving from the meals to decorations take a lot of time and effort, which need a Thanksgiving planning. And of course budget is the main idea. If the budget is also your concern, then I have a great idea for saving some budget on Thanksgiving decoration. An upcycled Thanksgiving project would be a perfect idea to press down your Thanksgiving budget. Like what I did is to upcycling a fry pan into a Thanksgiving pumpkin for decoration. Easy and cheap Thanksgiving sign you can make in short time. Let’s find out more on what to prepare and how to make this DIY Pumpkin Fry Pan.

Things To Prepare

I think any household would have an old fry pan. Most of the time it’s just laying somewhere or thrown into a trash bin. Well, this time, save your and make use of your old fry pan. In details, let’s find out what are the supplies I use to make this DIY Pumpkin Fry Pan :

  • An old fry pan
  • Blue paint
  • White paint
  • A blue fabric
  • White lace
  • Black Marker
  • Hot glue

How To Make

Upcycling and recycling are my first options in any of my diy projects. It’s such a waste to throw something with potential. And of course we help to be more green in a very easy and pleasant way. Anyway, this fry pan – pumpkin is easy, cheap, you can be creative with it. The pan will be the pumpkin and the handle will be the stalk and used to hang your Thanksgiving pumpkin sign. So, what are you waiting for? Gather all the supplies I’ve mentioned above and follow these steps on how to make DIY Pumpkin – Fry Pan :

1 . Make sure your old fry pan is clean as you need a clean surface to paint with. It will not stick if the fry pan is dirty or greasy. Paint it in white and wait until it’s dry to proceed with the next step.

2 .Paint some lines, effortless, to show the pumpkin lines. Use a light blue mixed with a little darker blue. Let it dry

3. Get a black marker and write “BLESSED” in the middle of the fry pan pumpkin.

4. Add a blue ribbon and tie a bow on the top of the pumpkin. I made my blue bow together with a white lace. I glue it all, so it’s no-sew bow. I used a blue fabric to make the bow. Glue the bow by using hot glue. And your pumpkin fry pan is ready for your Thanksgiving decor.

Many ways to have this pumpkin fry pan looks, aside from my white and blue, you can use pumpkin color, or black and gold, even blue and white (the other way around from mine). It depends on your taste and of course your color scheme for your Thanksgiving decor this year.

DIY Candle Holder For Fall Decor

Gold color for fall is the best color to me; it looks sophisticated and classy. And this project is to upcycling my old mug into something classy gold. Yes, it’s a gold candle holder for fall decor! It’s super easy and quick to make. the key to get the nicest look for this mug – candle holder is to use an unique shape mug. My mug is unique to me because it has contoured shape, it has texture. And it looks great with painted in gold because the contour reflects the gold color more than a plain shape. That is why I save this old mug which I don’t use it anymore as it has some hairline cracks on the inner surface. Since, fall is coming, this gold candle holder would be a great addition to fall decoration collection. Scroll down to see how I made it!

Things To Prepare

You can always be creative with things that you have at home. You can replace things I use with things that you have at home. Find similar things that look like things that I use is the key. LIke for example, you can use a can mug instead of ceramic mug like mine. Anyway, let’s go straight to my list of supplies. Here is the list of supplies to make my DIY Candle Holder For Fall Decor :

  • Old mug
  • Gold spray paint
  • Old bronze mini candle holder
  • Silicone glue

How To Make

It is super easy to make, it’s only took some painting and gluing works. And the more unique your old mug is, the more beautiful your candle holder will be. To be clearer, let’s just go to the tutorial on how to make my DIY Candle Holder For Fall Decor :

1 .Clean the old mug and the old bronze mini candle holder; make sure it’s really clean for good painting result.

2 .Spray gold paint to the old mug evenly. Let it dry.

3 Glue the gold painted mug into the bronze mini candle holder by using silicone glue. Let it dry and firm. Done! as simple as that!

Now, the gold candle holder will be ready as my fall decoration. Put it together with other fall decorations to style your mantel, or dining table or even your kitchen table. I put together the gold fall candle holder together with my fall gold acorn and my white popsicle sticks pumpkin. It looks nice altogether. Well then, find your most unique mug and turn it into a nice fall candle holder like mine for your coming fall decor!

DIY Give Thanks Pumpkins Pot

I have this simple idea of being grateful and thankful. I made a DIY Give Thanks Pumpkins in a pot. It’s a simple DIY and quick to make. It’s great Thanksgiving decoration in many way and also as a record of things or person that you like to thank for and grateful for. It comes in blue and white colors which great for fall to winter decor theme.

I drew the pumpkins with a pencil color. Printed pumpkin drawing that you get from browsing would do great too. I like to draw it better than print it, because I found some fun and therapeutic to draw those pumpkins in monochrome look. Well, the choice is yours, either draw them or print them. Just choose the way that is simpler for you. After all, this is a simple DIY, so it’s should be easy to make. Now, we start with a list of simple materials to make my DIY Give Thanks Pumpkins Pot.

Things To Prepare

It’s better to use white color paper card to do this give thanks pumpkins, because the blue would look better against white. Basically is white and blue color tones, so if you have a blue pot, just use a white ribbon to stay in the white and blue look. Okay, these are the supplies that you need to prepare for making my DIY Give Thanks Pumpkins Pot :

  • Wood skewer
  • Blue pumpkin drawing or pumpkin printed paper card
  • Drawing pen
  • Adhesive tape
  • Blue polka-dot ribbon
  • White pot with white gravels

How To Make

It’s a super easy DIY Give Thanks. Simple and easy to find material to work with, plus it’s quick to make. You can either draw or print the blue pumpkin drawing. I find it easier to draw the pumpkin. I used only a blue pencil color to draw the blue pumpkins. To be clear, let me round down all steps I took to make my Give Thanks Pumpkins Pot for Thanksgiving decoration.

  1. Draw or print out some blue pumpkins in different sizes on a plain white paper card.
  2. Cut each of them. I made 5 pumpkins, you can make more but it’s better to have them in odd numbers. Odd numbers of pumpkin cards would make a good proportion.
  3. Write a word or two to describe what are you thank for. Like mine are God, love, family, our children, and health. You can have it in different or more words.
  4. Take some wood skewer and cut them in different length. Paste each give thanks pumpkin to a skewer by using adhesive tape on the back of the pumpkin cards. If you want to use it as a centerpiece, have the pumpkin in both sides, meaning paste two give thanks pumpkin card together with a stick in the middle.
  5. Have a white pot that filled with small white gravels. Then take all the give thanks pumpkins and insert it one by one to make a flower-look-a-like arrangement.
  6. Don’t forget to tie the blue ribbon around the pot! Finish!

This give thanks pumpkin cards are perfect for cake toppers too. You can use the give thanks pumpkins as your Thanksgiving cake topper or as a centerpiece pot at your Thanksgiving dinner table or just place them anywhere in your house as a Thanksgiving decoration. You can choose the things that you want to thank for and have them in short words to be written on each of the give thanks pumpkin. It would be great too, if you bring along your children to do the give thanks pumpkins so that they would learn to be grateful for the things they have.

DIY Thanksgiving Decoration

Pumpkins are just great element for entire fall decoration until you reach Thanksgiving. I made a DIY Thanksgiving Decoration by presenting a silhouette of a gold pumpkin with “blessed” as the sentiment. It is a painted Thanksgiving sign with a simple painting job. I have the pumpkin decoration in a white and gold color scheme with will be perfect for fall to winter transition decoration. Let’s find out more of things to prepare and how to make the DIY Thanksgiving decoration of a pumpkin sign.

Things To Prepare

I just love to play with any white media, and if it’s not white, I would paint it white. And this material I used, happens to be white, without needing white paint which is great for me. It’s a PVC board that I have in small cuts. I have some at my storage, so I used it to make some decorations instead of buying some new wooden plank. I also used the PVC board for some of my previous projects, like Black and White Halloween Sign and Coastal Coasters. Back to my pumpkin sign for Thanksgiving decoration, here are a few things I used to make the Thanksgiving blessed sign :

  • White PVC board
  • Black marker
  • Gold paint or gold marker

How To Make

This simple gold pumpkin decoration is an easy painted Thanksgiving sign. It’s just a mix of an abstract painting of a pumpkin and a “blessed’ wording. The steps are just painting steps. Anyway. here are the points on how I made the DIY Thanksgiving decoration:

  1. Cut a square shape of a white panel, I used white PVC board with 10×10 inches dimension.
  2. Paint a pumpkin in abstract look with gold paint or simply use a gold marker. Let it dry before you continue to next step.
  3. Write a word “blessed” in the middle of the pumpkin by using a black marker. Wait until it’s dry and you can use the gold pumpkin sign as a Thanksgiving decoration right away.

The steps are easy and the supplies used for my DIY Thanksgiving decoration are easy and simple. Grab your brush or marker to make your own abstract pumpkin and a Thanksgiving sentiment and you can show it off during the Thanksgiving dinner celebration.
