seashells – Decor Craft Design

Spring is coming and some celebrates Saint Patrick’s Day. One of the related things to Saint Patrick’s Day that I fond most is shamrock! Lucky shamrock it is! Well, since I haven’t found any, I just make the regular shamrocks, but not from regular supply. I made shamrocks from seashells.

I made two looks of the shamrocks, one was natural look of the seashells, where I didn’t paint the seashells and combine it with burlap rope to add more natural look. The other was the natural look of the shamrock, which is green, so I painted the seashells with green. To give the Saint Patrick’s Day vibes, I gave very light green color. But the shamrocks decoration can be used to decorate your home for entire spring season too.

Things To Prepared

I always try to make easy DIY which need no difficult supplies so most of you can easily make it yourself.

Seashells ( I used clams to get a better and similar look to shamrock leaves)
Popsicle sticks
Burlap rope
Green and white acrylic paint
UHU glue

How To Make

It took only six easy steps to make this diy shamrocks from seashells. Let me explain here.

Make a panel by using popsicle sticks. You can replace it with wooden panel of the size if you have any.
Paint the popsicle sticks panels, each with different background. For the natural seashells look, paint it in green and white. For the natural shamrocks look, paint the panels in white. All of that to give a nice contrast between the popsicle sticks panel as the background and the seashells shamrock as the focal point.
Clean and dry off the seashells. Find the seashells with bright colors, even tone and with the same size.
Take three clams and painted it in light green to get the shamrock color. Let it dry.
Take the natural seashells in amount of three and glue it on the white and green panel. Then draw the stalk with brush.
Use the three green seashells and glue it on the white panel. Apply the burlap rope as the stalk.

My diy seashells shamrock decoration needs only easy skill and regular craft supplies. It would not be difficult for you to make. Clams are easy seashells to find and delicious to eat. So, it would be great re-purposing project too.

Valentine’s day is only days to come, my DIY Valentine’s Heart Sign From Seashells would be one of the perfect Valentine’s decoration or Valentine’s gift idea. It’s an easy Valentine’s DIY and a great use of seashells that you can get from your kitchen after a nice meal. I left the seashells as it is without adding color to it, just washed it clean to get a rustic style for the heart sign. Honest as it is just like a love. It’s will blend well with farmhouse decor too.

Things To Prepared

Seashells (make sure it’s cleaned)
Wooden plank in square
White paint
Hot glue
Burlap rope

How To Make

Let me share with you how easy the steps are to make this DIY Valentine’s Heart Sign From Seashells.

Have the wood plank painted in white. Do it roughly to get the rustic look. Let it dry.
Arrange the seashells in heart shape and glue it one by one with hot glue.
Braided burlap rope used to give some frame to the seashells heart. Glue the burlap rope on top and below the heart sign and secure it with hot glue on the back of the sign.

It’s a great re-purposing project for Valentine’s decoration or even a Valentine’s gift. It’s easy to make, so you still have time to make the heart sign from seashells before the Valentine’s day. Have fun making it and don’t forget to add love while doing it!
