  • Used – thick paper (mine is paper from a table calendar)
  • White card paper
  • Green crepe paper
  • Colorful rainbow paper straws
  • Gold ribbon
  • Double Foam Tape
  • Clear glue

How To Make

This paper craft is easy to do and cute for the Saint Patrick’s Day decoration. Follow these easy steps on how to do DIY Lucky Shamrock Sign Paper Craft :

1 . I recycle a calendar paper and cut it as a base for the shamrock sign. I cut it in a length of 24 paper straws times half length of a straw plus a little mountain as a base to the shamrocks.

2. Cut all straws into two. I used 8 colors of straws; pink, red, dark blue, light blue, green, yellow, orange and purple. I used 3 cut-straws on each color. So, the total is 24 straws (half straw), from 8 different colors. Glue one by one. Try to arrange pop-out color to less pop-out color, side by side.

3. Now, cut a rectangle shape along the mountain to raise the shamrock by pasting a foam tape. But before, cut green crepe paper in lucky shamrock shape.

4. Then you paste it one by one until it looks lush and pretty.

5. Make letters L, u, c, k, y by using a white card paper. Paste it one the middle of the rainbow straws by using foam tape.

6. Add some blings to add some shines by appling gold ribbon as a hanger and on the front rainbow straws. Don’t forget to add a little gold ribbon bow in the middle. Cute!

Easy paper craft to do with your kids for the Saint Patrick’s decoration. Cheap and easy to find material, just perfect for simple lucky shamrock craft. The lucky shamrock, the rainbow straws and the gold ribbon are complete elements for the Saint Patrick’s Day. Happy crafting!

DIY Shamrocks From Seashells

Spring is coming and some celebrates Saint Patrick’s Day. One of the related things to Saint Patrick’s Day that I fond most is shamrock! Lucky shamrock it is! Well, since I haven’t found any, I just make the regular shamrocks, but not from regular supply. I made shamrocks from seashells.

I made two looks of the shamrocks, one was natural look of the seashells, where I didn’t paint the seashells and combine it with burlap rope to add more natural look. The other was the natural look of the shamrock, which is green, so I painted the seashells with green. To give the Saint Patrick’s Day vibes, I gave very light green color. But the shamrocks decoration can be used to decorate your home for entire spring season too.

Things To Prepared

I always try to make easy DIY which need no difficult supplies so most of you can easily make it yourself.

  • Seashells ( I used clams to get a better and similar look to shamrock leaves)
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Burlap rope
  • Green and white acrylic paint
  • UHU glue

How To Make

It took only six easy steps to make this diy shamrocks from seashells. Let me explain here.

  1. Make a panel by using popsicle sticks. You can replace it with wooden panel of the size if you have any.
  2. Paint the popsicle sticks panels, each with different background. For the natural seashells look, paint it in green and white. For the natural shamrocks look, paint the panels in white. All of that to give a nice contrast between the popsicle sticks panel as the background and the seashells shamrock as the focal point.
  3. Clean and dry off the seashells. Find the seashells with bright colors, even tone and with the same size.
  4. Take three clams and painted it in light green to get the shamrock color. Let it dry.
  5. Take the natural seashells in amount of three and glue it on the white and green panel. Then draw the stalk with brush.
  6. Use the three green seashells and glue it on the white panel. Apply the burlap rope as the stalk.

My diy seashells shamrock decoration needs only easy skill and regular craft supplies. It would not be difficult for you to make.  Clams are easy seashells to find and delicious to eat. So, it would be great re-purposing project too.

DIY Lucky Shamrock Sign From Wooden Cutting Board

DIY Lucky Shamrock Sign From Wooden Cutting Board.

Picture76

Shamrock always pretty to see, to draw, to shoot; the cute little leaf is just amazingly unique in its shape. I drew 3 shamrocks and a little lucky shamrock with the word “lucky” on a wooden cutting board; since 4 petals shamrock symbolizes luck.

This lucky shamrock sign is an easy diy for those who love to paint, but you can always substitute it with decoupage. The painting is very easy and all materials involved are few. You just need an oval or a round wooden cutting board, some acrylic paint with the paint brush, drawing pen and a cotton rope.

Picture75

Some easy steps to make while doing this DIY wooden cutting board sign with shamrocks painting and Lucky sentiment are:

  1. Clean up the cutting board and paint it with white.
  2. Paint the 3 shamrocks in 3 different style; dark, light and outline only; with green mixed-paint.
  3. Write the word “lucky” and then paint a little lucky shamrock on top.
  4. Take a cotton rope and tie it on top to serve as a hanger. The rope gives a farmhouse touch too. Finished!
