DIY Rustic Winter Hello Sign

Winter decor is usually presented in logs or any wooden decorations, snow or white decorations. I come to think of a modern farmhouse look, where wooden materials contrasted to white finish. So I made a quick and easy DIY Rustic Winter Hello Sign. And let me give you the simple tutorial to this winter DIY.

Things To Prepared

This is a re-purposing project that was making use of a thick kraft core which you can replace it with a wooden log. Anyway, things I used to make this rustic winter hello sign are:

  • Thick kraft core
  • White marker
  • Burlap rope
  • Crepe paper – white
  • UHU glue

How To Make

Simple and quick steps to make my rustic winter hello sign. A little calligraphy skill that is easily replaced with stickers. Okay, this is how to make the rustic winter hello sign:

  1.  Write the Hello word by using pencil as a sketch first, but if you confident, draw straight to the core by using white marker.
  2. Braid the burlap rope or use a thick burlap rope and use as the hanging rope. Secure it with a knot.
  3. Cut some white crepe paper with the same length of the core and tie it with burlap rope to form a bow tie shape.
  4. Glue the crepe paper to the Hello sign with UHU glue. Let it dry! And finished!

It’s a simple sign for winter decor and it would tied in with farmhouse rustic style from it’s simplicity and materials that were used. Super easy and quick DIY to decorate your house for this January winter.
