Super Easy DIY Felt Flowers

I was going through some of my craft supplies and I found my stash of felts. I was instantly wanted to do something with the felt, but then I thought of welcoming Spring. Okay, let’s just make some felt flowers, that would be fun. So, this felt flowers are super easy to make, you can even do it without drawing a pattern if you are handy with scissors. It would take you around 2 minutes to complete one flower. How easy and quick is that?!

I use my soft pink and white felt to make my flowers. I’m going to make more of them, but now I’m just going to show you some that I had made. I paired the soft pink with white to get a soft color of Spring. You can use other colors you like or colors that you have on your felt stash. Anyway you like. Let’s find out more how I made these adorably easy felt flowers.

Things To Prepare

For material, as most of my projects, I use things that I already have. In this case, I use soft colors of Spring that I have, which are soft pink and white. Anyway, let’s see what I use to make this Super EasyDIY Felt Flowers :

  • Pink felt
  • White felt
  • Pearl beads (white)
  • Glue

How To Make

It’s easy to make, so you can make lots of them and use it to decorate other project. Now, gather all the supplies which I’ve mentioned above and follow these easy steps on how to make Super Easy DIY Felt Flowers :

1 . First, determine the size of flower that you want. From there you can decide how big a circle of felt that you need to cut.

2. The circle shape will be cut into spiral. The spiral felt is going to be the flower.

3 .Now, form a circular motion on the spiral felt until finished. Don’t forget to apply glue on the bottom side of the felt white you twirl it.

4. Finish it off with pearl bead in the middle of the flower, use clear glue to secure it. Finished!

5. To have a different variation, I beveled the spiral to get a petal shape. You can also make a pointy petal shape to have more variations. Just be creative with it.

Super easy and quick way to make a flower out of felt. Great project to start with in this early Spring. You can use them for bouquets, wreaths, decorations and many more. Have fun with felt flowers!

How To Make Mother’s Day Card From Scrap Fabric

Mother’s Day is near and  some of you may have prepared a lovely gift to your mom. If you haven’t prepare any gift to your beloved mom, but have been thinking of making a DIY present to give your mom on Mother’s Day; then you can check out my idea of DIY Mother’s Day gift. However, those with special gift in hand ready for your mom, you can get the inspiration of my easy Mother’s Day Card From Scrap Fabric. Like always, I share with you the tutorial on how to make the diy scrap fabric card.

Picture142

I made this very easy card by adding a fabric flower as the focal point of the Mother’s day card. I chose flower because I guess almost all moms love flowers, I know my mom does. And I finished it of  with simple sentiment; Happy Mother’s Day. This Mother’s Day card project is easy to make not just because it takes easy steps to make, but also easy supplies to find at home. I used the hardboard card from the old table calendar as a material for the card. So, basically the two main ingredients are recycling things. How do I make it possible? Check out below tutorial!

Things To Prepared

Take a look at your scrap fabric stash at home and find some pretty soft fabrics that would look great as fabric flower, then you are good to go. Very common things to be re-used to prepare this Mother’s Day Gifts best friend; a Mother’s Day Card.

  • Thick cardboard of the table calendar stand
  • Fabric scrap ( I chose pink shade with flowery pattern and a soft fabric )
  • White marker
  • UHU Glue

Picture140

How To Make

As simple as the supplies, the making of this Mother’s Day Card From Scrap Fabric is also very simple. It’s a no sew fabric project so this Mother’s Day Card for Mother’s Day is a super easy DIY. Your would only need glue to do this fabric card! Anyway, let me share how I make this scrap fabric mother’s Day card.

  1. Take an old table calendar and cut off the cardboard stand. I used a 5.5 x 8 inches cardboard as the card. My card is in black color which I think it’s a good contrast to the fabric flower.
  2. My fabric came from a sleeve of an old dress I’ve upcycled. So I cut the fabric in ring connected ribbon. Cut the scrap fabric into 4 different widths from the biggest to the smallest. It’s around 2.1 inches width to the smallest around 1 inch. I didn’t measure it when I cut it, I just used my proportion instinct.
  3. Apply some glue on the middle above card and glue the fabric into a wavy circle. do the same until the four fabric ribbon glued together. Remember to start from the biggest width fabric to the smallest. Let it dry.
  4. Now it’s time for the writing job. Write “Happy Mother’s Day” below the fabric flower on the card by using white marker. Let it dry.
  5. And you can write anything you’d like at the back of the Mother’s Day card.

Picture143

Tips : The card should contrast the fabric flower, so if the card is dark, use a light color fabric. And if your card is light color, use dark fabric. For black and white card, you can use any contrast color, but for other colors card, you should choose a same shade of the card and the fabric to get a best result. For example, dark blue card with a light blue fabric. Another thing is, you can substitute the scrap fabric with ribbon if you don’t have any scrap fabric.

A beautiful gift for your wonderful mom would be an unforgettable day to your mom if you pair it with an handmade Mother’s Day card. Very personal, loving gesture to be translated into this Mother’s Day Card From Scrap Fabric. Want to try? Good luck and add some creativity to it!

  • Red and gold sparkling papers
  • Red and gold pipe cleaner

Picture98

How To Make

  1. Make a full circle (around 16 inches diameter) to make two hats from duplex card paper. I used a big pot cover to make the circle, easier and fast. Cut it into two but before that, cut 2.5 inches to the left and right so it’s not exactly half circle.
  2. Glue the pipe cleaner on top and fold a little glue area of one side to be attached to another side.
  3. Glue the two sides together by using UHU glue and leave it dry. don’t forget to press the glued area tight to secure it.
  4. Form the pipe cleaner in your desired shapes. I got heart shape for the red one and gold pipe cleaner as a star.
  5. Make sparkling red and gold confetti from sparkling papers by using a paper puncher.
  6. Apply some glue in small area of the hat where you can attach the red confetti to red heart shape hat and gold confetti to the gold star shape hat. Attach it area per area and try to start from bottom with dense confetti and scattered to top. Finished! If you want to wear securely on your head, attach some elastic rope or band to your sparkling new year’s party hat!

Invite your kids to form the pipe cleaner and glue those confetti to the new year’s party hat to finish it quicker and have fun together. How To Make

Super easy to make and you don’t have to be too detail, so it’s a quick diy to do. Let me share you how the steps are:

  1. Draw circle on the cardboard, make a set of two for each diameter. But start with middle circle which only took one circle; I made it in around 3 inches (8 cm). Make a quarter  of an inch smaller diameter from one circle to another fir the next circles. So, make 1 middle circle (3 inches), 7 sets of circles with a quarter inch smaller each circle, and 3 circles to continue the 9th circle for the pumpkin’s top; with still a quarter inch smaller for each circle.
  2. Glue and stack up the circles of cardboard of each diameter. Leave it dry.
  3. Cut around 3/4 inch of 20 circles on cardboard to make the pumpkin stem. Stack the circles and glue each of it and let it dry.
  4. Glue the cardboard steam to the cardboard pumpkin and let it dry.
  5. Paint the cardboard pumpkin with orange pumpkin and some brown watercolor to the stem.
  6. At last, tie a green flannel to the pumpkin stem. Finished!

This cardboard pumpkin was my other cardboard project that I did, I made a maple tree from cardboard and Fall letters cardboard. Easy and cheap seasonal diy for your Fall and Halloween decor inspiration. A rustic rustic look of the cardboard pumpkin is just a great upcycling project. You can be creative with the colors and decorations of the pumpkin. Be creative and happy trying!

Easy DIY Coastal Anchor Monogram

I made an easy diy coastal anchor monogram which suitable for beach theme decor. I made the monogram from the back of a broken picture frame and my nautical ornament that I have made earlier; an anchor from popsicle stick and cotton rope.

Let me share with you how I made the coastal anchor monogram, but before that, you need to prepare several things for this easy diy, which are:

  • A plank base for monogram, I used the back of an un-used picture frame. So it’s already have hangers for hanging.
  • Balsa wood for “R” monogram. Or you can buy wooden R shape if you wanted to save time.
  • Light blue acrylic paint.
  • Glue
  • Anchor nautical ornament (see how I made it from only using popsicle sticks and cotton rope)

Picture40

These are the easy steps to make coastal anchor monogram :

  1. I cut the balsa wood in the shape of letter “R”. I made it from 2 parts since my balsa wood is not wide enough to have a whole R monogram.
  2. Paint the balsa wood in light blue acrylic paint. Leave it to dry.
  3. Glue the R shapes onto the base (the back of un-used picture frame) to form the R initial. Let it dry and firm.
  4. Glue the The anchor nautical ornament on the “R” monogram. Let it dry.
  5. Your diy coastal anchor monongram is ready! Easy right?!

Picture42

You can hang the monogram or simply put it on your coastal theme mantel. This super easy diy it’s a great upcycling project to make in such a short time.

Easy DIY Halloween Wreath – Trick Or Treat

Easy DIY Halloween Wreath – Trick Or Treat

For this Halloween diy decorations, I have made Halloween souvenir boxes-spook boo eek, Halloween coasters, Halloween pumpkins sign, and on this post I made Halloween Wreath – trick or treat. It’s super easy!

I made this easy wreath less than an hour. And I only used things that I have already had, some are from my craft or party supplies; and some are from re-used things. I managed to have the colors in dominant orange and black, as I consider it really goes well together and of course because that’s the most available colors I have on my supplies 😀

Let see what are the things that I collected together to form this Halloween wreath :

  • Orange crepe paper (I bought this like a week ago; I was sure that I was going to use it somehow on my Halloween projects)
  • Paper plate 9 inches – polka-dots (from my party supplies)
  • Paper plate 5 inches – gold (from my party supplies)
  • Black paper (from my craft supplies)
  • Checkerboard ribbon (from my kid’s party supplies)
  • Orange-green pattern paper (re-using paper wrap from a gift I received)
  • glue
  • white gel pen
  • Wave edge craft scissors

Picture47

How to do?

  1. Cut orange crepe paper around 3 inches (7 cm) and fold it while you glue it to the edge of the big paper plate in circle evenly.
  2. Cut the gift wrap paper in the same length and fold it, then glue it to the big paper plate too, with around 1.5 inches apart from the crepe paper.
  3. Cut orange crepe paper again around 3 inches (7 cm) and fold it while you glue it to the edge of the big paper plate in circle evenly. Give around 1.5 inches distance.
  4. Cut and fold the checkerboard ribbon, then glue it one by one around the crepe paper.
  5. Cut the wavy pattern of the black paper in circle and glue it to the paper plate to close the ribbon’s edges.
  6. glue the gold paper plate in the middle.
  7. Cut another black paper in circle with the diameter of the inner gold plate with wave edge craft scissors.
  8. Write the “Trick or Treat” in the middle of the circle black paper by using white gel pen in a pretty way.
  9. Then glue the written black paper to the gold paper plate.
  10. Add a hanger from checkerboard ribbon on the back of the big paper plate (wreath).
  11. Hang the Halloween wreath on your front door or by the mantle, finished!

Picture48

Easy and pretty! Your Halloween just got more spice to it with another halloween decoration, a halloween wreath! You can also hang it on the table of treats, as the wreath says “trick or treat”. Hope you are inspired by my halloween creations.
