DIY Halloween Trick Or Treat Vampire Bucket

Every time, near Halloween , my kid is always ask me to make a trick or treat bucket. And I always make it out of used things, an upcycled Halloween bucket as usual. I have made several trick or treat buckets before; like pumpkin shape, spider bucket, Frankenstein and a witch bucket. This time, I made it according to my kid’s request; a vampire trick or treat bucket. Sounds complicated? Not really, actually, it’s quite easy and simple to make. A little drawing involved, but I’m sure it’s just a simple drawing to do.

My vampire bucket for Halloween trick or treat does not have a super spooky look. I like to make something cute and less spooky for Halloween, like for example my pumpkin planter that I’ve made last week. Alright, let’s just get to tutorial part, I’m excited to show all my steps to make this cool and cute Vampire trick or treat bucket for Halloween.

Things To Prepare

It is a simple upcycled Halloween bucket, in fact; it’s easy to make. Well, a little drawing is needed, but it’s just a simple vampire face that you need to master. I use an old transparent plastic bucket that I have and painted it in white. You can use white paper bucket, it would be easier, but of course, just use anything that you have at home. Anyway, let’s find out what are the supplies I use to make this DIY Halloween Trick Or Treat Vampire Bucket :

  • A bucket (any bucket will do; from plastic to paper, transparent to colored)
  • Black plastic sheet
  • Black rope
  • Black paint
  • White paint
  • Red Marker
  • Black Marker
  • UHU clear glue

How To Make

I actually kind of enjoy making Halloween buckets. So, my kid’s request for trick or treat bucket every year is my fun command. How can not one enjoy it? It’s easy, cheap, you can be creative with it and the most important thing is to see your kid scream in joy with that happy excited face. So, what are you waiting for? Gather all the supplies I’ve mentioned above and follow these steps on how to make DIY Halloween Trick or Treat Vampire Bucket :

1 . Make sure your used bucket is clean as you need a clean surface to paint with. It will not stick if the bucket is dirty or greasy. Paint it in white if your bucket is not white like mine. Wait until it’s dry to proceed with the next step.

2 .Draw a face of a vampire by using a black marker. Start with the face outline, followed by the eyes, mouth and nose. Don’t forget the fangs. Then, use a red marker to color the tongue. This is a happy cute vampire expression that I made. So, it’s up to you to draw other kind of vampire look.

3. Paint the rest of the outer face area with black paint. Wait, until it’s completely dry.

4. Cut a black plastic sheet in a form of a vampire’s robe. And glue it to the back of the bucket. Let the glue dry.

5. Punch two holes to insert the black rope in both sides of the bucket. And you’re done!

You can easily prepare this vampire bucket for your kid’s last-minute Halloween trick or treat. It’s super easy and cheap, but super cute indeed! I guess this vampire bucket is one of my favorite bucket that I’ve made so far. I like the robe, because when my kid is carrying the bucket, the vampire robe would look awesome; especially when it’s blown by the wind, as if the vampire is moving it with his hand and ready to change into a bat. Lol!

DIY Pumpkin Planter

Fall decor without a pumpkin doesn’t look like fall; Halloween without a pumpkin doesn’t felt like Halloween either, especially a carved pumpkin! No matter how small your home is, you still can squish in a pumpkin. It doesn’t have to be a huge pumpkin, but it can be a small pumpkin decoration that stands out. Like my DIY pumpkin planter I’ve made from an old mug. It’s a cute happy pumpkin for Halloween and fall decor in a form of a succulent planter.

My pumpkin is not spooky but enough to bring in the Halloween vibes. So, if you can bring some joy to your home through that cute smiling pumpkin, why not? Anyway, it’s a frugal upcycling project that is super easy to make. If you have lot of mugs with that shape, then you can do more of my pumpkin planter with different pumpkin expression, that would be super cute! But, before going further, you may want to peek at my steps on making my cute pumpkin planter for succulent.

Things To Prepare

It is quick and easy to make and of course takes only a few simple materials to make this pumpkin planter for the Halloween. I use a vibrant cadmium red to get a very stand out pumpkin So, even though it’s just a small succulent planter, but the pumpkin looks bold and eye catching. Anyway, let’s find out my short list of supplies to make this DIY Pumpkin Planter :

  • An old mug with a pumpkin looking shape.
  • Dark orange acrylic paint or spray paint ( I use cadmium red acrylic paint)
  • White paint
  • Black Marker

How To Make

I love to make a functional decoration, so this cute pumpkin mug, would not just serve as a Halloween decoration, but a planter for my succulent as well. Super easy and quick to make, so you can make many of it. Just make sure your old mugs have a round shape that would look a bit like a pumpkin. I happened to have only one old mug that looks like a pumpkin, so I can only make one. Well, let’s just find out my steps on how to make DIY Pumpkin Planter:

1 . Drill a hole or two on the bottom part of the mug.

2 .Make sure your mug is clean, because the paint would not cover the surface properly on a dirty or grease mug. I painted my mug with white paint first for base and to cover some dark colors on my mug. Let it dry.

3. Paint the mug with dark orange color and wait until it’s dry to proceed with next step.

4. Draw eyes, nose and mouth of a smiling pumpkin on the painted mug planter. You can have any other expression you like for your pumpkin planter, but I like the happy pumpkin.

5. Get a stick shape succulent that would look like a stem and plant it on your pumpkin planter. Don’t forget to add some white little pebbles on top for a better clean look. And your pumpkin planter is done!

Isn’t it cute? Isn’t it frugal? You get a cute pumpkin for Halloween decor, you get a new home for your succulent to grow and you get to upcycling your old mug into something new, pretty and useful. So, what are you waiting for? Try look for your old mugs and find those that you can turn into a pumpkin planter for Halloween. DIY Halloween Spider Bucket

Halloween is just in days; my kid is already excited to wear costume and having trick or treat. But yeah, I think I would ask my kid to knock on our bedroom door to play trick or treat. Yup, indoor trick or treat. Anyway, it would be no fun for a trick or treat if your kid doesn’t have a cool, spooky but cute Halloween bucket. Well, you might like my Halloween spider bucket for a Halloween treat bucket idea.

It’s a simple Halloween bucket that your kid would like. It’s not plain black and white spider bucket but I gave a little pop glittered color for its little crawling feet. It would attract kids more than just a creepy black spider. It’s easy and quick to make, moreover, you would only need some common craft supplies and even recycled material to make my Halloween Spider Bucket for trick or treat fun. Let’s learn more on how I make this easy Halloween diy bucket and supplies to prepare.

Things To Prepare

Easy Halloween craft to entertain your kids is just perfect, because you can make it together with your kids and have fun at the same time. Some simple supplies are needed for this DIY Halloween Spider Bucket, therefor you need to prepare some of these items below:

  • Paper bowl (used paper bowl is okay, as long as it’s clean) or tin can will do too.
  • Black paint (for paper bowl, you can use poster paint, watercolor paint or acrylic paint or even spray paint)
  • White paint
  • White paper card
  • Black paper card (you can substitute it with painted white paper card, just simply use black marker to paint it black)
  • Red glittered pipe cleaner
  • Hot glue

How To Make

It’s great to spend a little time to work on a fun craft with your kids. It would be a great deal to your kids and a wonderful memory to be kept. So, ask your kids to make this Halloween Spider Bucket together and and have fun doing it, because it’s so easy and the result is just too cute. Let me show you all the steps on how to make a spider treat bucket for Halloween :

  1. Paint the paper bowl with black paint. Leave it until dry.
  2. Cut 2 big white circles for the outer eyes and 2 smaller black circles for inner eyes from card paper or just any simply plain paper you have. Paste each pair of circles together to form a pair of eyes. Paste the two eyes on the black painted paper bowl
  3. For the bucket’s handle; I made a spider web look-a-like handle from hot glue and have it painted white. Form a spider web ribbon with hot glue on a greasy smooth surface (you can apply some lotion on a glass surface), let it settle for a while then you can paint it white. Or it’s easier if you have white hot glue, then you can skip the painting job. You can check for other project I’ve made from hot glue, there is a Christmas ornaments from hot glue for this Christmas diy ideas.
  4. Cut a red sparkle pipe cleaner into three. Have six of it to make a spider’s legs. Poke three holes on the left and right of the bucket with spaces between each of them. Insert each of the sparkle hairy legs into the hole and secure it with hot glue from inside of the box. Don’t forget to bent the spider’s legs a little to have it look like a spider’s legs.
  5. Now the last steps is to take the dried spider web handle and paste it on each of the inner side of the Halloween trick or treat bucket. Wait until it’s dried and firmed before you try to lift up the Halloween bucket by using the handle. There you go, your spider bucket is ready!

It’s not as complicated as it sounds, once you try it yourself, you’ll be surprised to learn that my DIY Halloween Spider Bucket is easy and quick to make. It’s also inexpensive to make, so if you have many kids at home, you can make a lot of spider buckets for trick or treat fun. Come on, gather all your craft supplies, bring along your kids and start making this cute spider Halloween bucket!
