I made an acorn in gold and reconstructive look. I just love the color gold for fall. It’s an easy DIY fall and simple material to used, even recycled material as one of the main supply for this DIY acorn.

My DIY Fall Gold Acorn is one of a different way to present an acorn. It’s a faux acorn that I made from plastic egg and pistachio’s shells. Quick and easy to make, also inexpensive, that is what I love for a seasonal diy decorations. And for this fall gold acorn, you can use it from year to year because acorn is one of the symbol of the fall and you can easily mix it with other ornaments of decorations. The gold acorn can be used as a main star or as a complimentary ornament; it’s up to you to arrange it.

I still have some plastic eggs from last Easter and some pistachio’s shells from my Pistachio’s Shells Sunflower project. So, I didn’t need to buy new supplies for this Fall project. I guess, some of you may have the same supplies as mine, and that would be easier for you to follow my tutorial right away. These are the complete list of supplies you will be needed to make a fall gold acorn:

Position the shells around the middle of the egg and the bigger part of the egg that will be fully covered by pistachio’s shells.
  2. Continue to glue pistachio’s shells one by one, row by row all the way up to the top of the egg. And while the glue is still hot and melt, insert a small wooden stick in the middle top. It would look like a stalk. Let it dry before you move on to painting work.

It’s September! Fall 2020 is coming and it’s a transition time from summer to fall. Fall decor becomes your top search to get some inspiration for the season. And I have my easy DIY Upcycling Gold Floating Pots as one of an idea for a frugal fall decoration among of many of my Fall decoration collections you can check out. It’s an easy fall DIY with an unique look and also an upcycling tin can project. Let’s learn more about the process of how to make this twin golden pots from tin cans.

It’s a super easy and quick DIY for Fall decor. And it’s super cheap too, considered it’s an upcycled DIY fall project. I chose gold as the main look to represent the glimmering gold of fall color. And some aloe vera as the decorative plant which also a great indoor plant with all its benefits. And for the finishes, I used some small white gravel to give the sleek look. Anyway, let’s find out the main material for my Fall Upcycling Gold Floating Pots and the making steps.

Things To Prepare

I like working with tin cans, because there are tons of ideas to upcycled it into something useful and yet pretty. So, the tin can is the main star for this fall DIY. Here are the list of supplies you will be needed to make my DIY Upcycled Gold Floating Pots:

  • Used tin can
  • Gold acrylic spray paint
  • Pipe holder
  • Glass silicone glue or you can use metal glue

How To Make

It only took me three simple steps to make this DIY Upcycled Gold Floating Pots. After you have done with it, you can decorate it with some fake plants or candle or some scented pine cones or whatever that express autumn. So, here are the easy steps to make my DIY Fall gold pots :

  1. Clean the tin can and make sure there is no grease on the surface is left. Paint the tin can with gold spray paint. Leave it dry.
  2. Paint the pipe holder with gold paint too and leave it dry.
  3. Apply some glue to each golden tin can and put it all together with the golden pipe holder, just like in the picture. Let the glue harden and firm. Finished!

Super easy Fall DIY yes indeed! I guess you would easily follow my tutorial and have your own Upcycled Gold Floating Pots. I like the modern and sophisticated look of the twin golden pots, it’s all thanks to the gold finish and the hanging pots supported by the pipe holder. DIY Geometric Gold Painted Bottle For Fall Decoration

DIY Geometric Gold Painted Bottle For Fall Decoration

My favorite color from the fall season is gold! It is so glamour, up-scale and shimmering. It’s a great color to have for your fancy and glamour fall decorations. And I had been wanting to use my gold spray paint for a painted bottle project, but I hadn’t had any clue for the design, until I think of a geometric pattern to be used for my gold painted bottle project.

Different from my previous project which I painted the white bottle with gold acrylic paint to have a fall leaves painted bottles in gold; this time I spray painted the bottle. I paired the gold paint with chrome paint to get the geometric pattern which both are glamorous colors and perfect for fall decorations. And I chose zig zag pattern with no reason, I just love the look of it. It’s an easy project to do. Let see what do we need to diy this gold painted bottle.

  • Un-used clean empty big glass bottle (I like the shape of the bottle which is square, not round).
  • Gold spray paint
  • Chrome spray paint
  • Paper tape

The process of making this fall painted bottle is very easy and simple, just need some time to dry the paint. So how did I make my gold geometric bottle?

  1. Make sure the glass bottle you choose to be painted is clean debris and oil, before you spray paint it. Spray paint the bottle with chrome first on the bottom area only. Let it dry.
  2. Use the paper tape to make the geometric zig zag pattern and tape it on the bottom area.
  3. Spray pain the whole bottle with gold spray paint evenly. Let it dry.
  4. Peel of the paper tape gently and clean up the left overs.
  5. The geometric gold painted bottle is ready for your fall decorations collection!

Basically it only need some paints and used bottle, this up-cycling project is very easy to do but the result is worth to be in your fall decorations collection. This diy painted bottle may not featuring leaves or other fall pattern, but instead it featuring geometric pattern of zig zag. However, it has the significant color of fall and that is gold. I captured the geometric gold bottle with my fall (in love) sign for fall decor.
