Happiness Is Homemade – Happy Valentine

Welcome to Happiness is Homemade #466 Happy Valentine! Happy coming Valentine’s Day!! Great ideas for Valentine’s Day and fantastic Valentine features!

This Week’s Features

If you’re looking for inspiration for Valentine’s dinner this Wednesday, look no further. Ann from Ann’s Entitled Life set up this fabulous Valentine’s tablescape that you can tweak here and there to work for a romantic night in or for dinner with the family.

Kristie over at Love My Little Cottage is a talented artist, and that shows through with her “mush love” flower pot painting! She said that’s she’s become obsessed with painting these cute little mushrooms and I can see why.

Radha over at Magical Ingredients shared the perfect Valentine’s breakfast recipe, strawberry ombre pancakes.

While we’re rolling with the pink colors, I had to include this beautiful growth ruler made by Lee Ann over at Creative Moments.

Since I live down on the Gulf Coast where Mardi Gras is huge, I had to share these white chocolate pretzel rods made for the holiday by Premeditated Leftovers. This year it falls on my daughter’s birthday so it’s going to be a day of parades, parties, and fun, and these delicious treats will fit right in! Fun fact: Mardi Gras parades and fanfare did not start in New Orleans! It started in Mobile, Alabama, then moved west where I live, then on to New Orleans a bit later.

Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #412 Valentine’s Day

Welcome to the Happiness is Homemade Link Party 412. Can you believe the end of January is “nigh” upon us. Meaning winter is flying by and hey It is my Birthday, usuallyn a signal I am heading somewhere warm but not this year again. No worries though all these amazing posts are inspiring me to create and that helps. Linda from A Labour of Life ( Moi lol) is our hostess for the month of January and this marks the end of my adventure, Handing the baton off to a new hostess but for today so let’s get started

It was an interesting week, a lot of self reflection Bloggers sharing what they are working on and what their followers loved last year. I hope y’a;ll know how hard it is to only pick 4 posts to highlight. which is why I want to remind everyone, take a moment and search through. This is a space to get inspired and help each other out. I swore this week I would get off the Valentine’s theme but seriously way to many awesome heart features.

A Tablescape

I have found my grove and my feature routine so lets start with a tablescape. And this weeks feature caught my eye probably because I have been thinking hearts and flowers.Actually it was the heart plate that caught me. I just found some heart bowls so stay tuned for my next table lol. Today the bright red and pink hearts caught my eye, A Valentines table. Inspiration for the gal who loves to celebrate love. Anne’s Inspired love really nailed this one.

Valentine’s Sugar Scrub

I love a good sugar scrub but don’t love all the extras that are in some commercially prepared ones. Plus they can be expensive. This easy DIY sugar scrub from Everyday Savvy requires just a few ingredients and can be infused with your favorite essential oils. This sugar scrub makes a great DIY gift for Valentine’s day or any holiday.

CHAIN LETTER TAG – HAPPINESS

I was nominated by dear Ribana for this Chain Letter with “happiness” as the topic. It’s a happy feeling to get nominated for happiness quotes, because it’s good to be happy people! Shinny happy people…. 😀 And Ribana is one of the shinny happy blogger I know, stop by her blog Popsicle Society to read her happy posts about food, travel, inspirations, dogs… and you will find yourself smiling and inspired.

Thank you Ribana to share happiness with me and made me think of my version of happiness for days. Well, actually my version of happiness is always the same since I was a little, so I spent the days thinking was on how to show it in graphics. 🙂 So, I painted this watercolor picture of my happiness with my happiness quote.

1

The Rules for this “Chain-Letter” as copied from Ribana’s post:

  1. Thank the selector.
  2. Post two quotations for the dedicated “Topic of the Day” (in this case, “happiness”).
  3. Select three bloggers to take part in “3-2-1 Quote Me!”

My quotes:

“Whoever is happy will make others happy.”

– Anne Frank

There are some people that I guess have been blessed with happy aura; because when you hang out with these happy people, you just keep smiling and even laugh a lot. Even when you look at their face and you instantly want to smile big. Well, to me, a laugh or a smile is one of a happy gesture.

“My happy loved ones are my happiness.”

– Mel

Picture2

When my loved ones are sad, sick or in trouble, I’ll have a trouble heart and mind, all reflects on my face and effect my body. But when my loved ones are happy, I straight away change into happy mode. Having my loved ones have a happy life brings peace and joy to my heart. I’m sure lots of people feel that way too.

My 3 happy quotes bloggers are:

  1. denise421win
  2. My Colourful Life
  3. Positive Side Of The Coin

Thanks again Ribana for the Happy tag, makes me remember to be thankful. I hope Denise, Suzi and Anjali have more inspiring happiness quotes to share. Be happy and be thankful if you do.
