DIY Love Container For Valentine

Valentine’s Day is near, you may want to give some sweats to your loved ones, but you need a special appearance for the sweets to impress your loved ones. A handmade container will impress more than a store bought. It will not cost you a lot as my idea is recycling some used things; in this case I used Pringles can and a decorative tissue paper which I get from a party that is still clean. It’s a cute way to show your love, especially those who love saving environment. Scroll down to see how I made this Love Container for Valentine’s Day.

Things To Prepare

It’s a short list of supplies that you need to prepare. Try to replace it with something similar to my material if you don’t have the same one. Just use whatever you have in your craft stash. Let’s see what are the list supplies which used to make this DIY Love Container for Valentine :

  • Pringles can
  • Decorative tissue paper
  • Decorative paper
  • Pink jute rope
  • Rose ribbon ornaments
  • Paper glue
  • Clear glue

How To Make

To show how much we love our loved ones, . Anyway, just follow these easy steps on how to do DIY Love Container for Valentine :

1 . Make sure your Pringles can is cleaned. Wrap your Pringles can with a decorative paper. I used vertical lines with shades of pink decorative paper.

2. Cut a tissue paper on the picture that you like to use. Mine is a drawing of a Eiffel Tower in France with roses and macarons. I love it, it’s vintage and romantic.

3. Now paste the cut-tissue paper carefully to the wrapped-Pringles can. Use paper glue.

4. Then you can decorate the lid. Take some rose ribbon ornaments and paste it one by one around the Pringles lid. It goes well with the tissue paper pattern of roses.

5. Last touch is to draw or apply some glue to the side of the picture of Eiffel Tower a shape of heart. Use the pink jute rope to to make the heart. Isn’t it pretty?

I think it’s pretty enough to hold your yummy sweets and use it as a Valentine’s gift to your loved ones. A handmade gift plus sweets? That’s surely showers of love! By the way, it’s easy to make, right?

This Love Container project is my contribution to The Sustainable Craft Challenge Blog Hop hosted by Julie with her beautiful blog Sum of Their Stories. It’s a craft challenge with a sustainable principle behind it which comes in different theme every month. This month, the theme is “LOVE” and last month was “WARM“. Have a cute simple treats on Valentine’s Day is forgiven, pink shades are not tacky, so combine these two things, then you’ve got yourself a valentine’s treats which able to decorate your Valentine’s Day simple celebration.

Marshmallows are sweet, soft, yummy, come in many soft pretty colors and usually looks adorable even in just a regular marshmallow form. Don’t you agree?

Things To Prepare

Like always, I use things that I can find on my craft supplies and always try to repurpose or recycling things. Easy Valentine’s Card With One Colored Pencil

Giving a handmade Valentine’s card for your loved ones will leave a special meaning. You can craft a Valentine’s card or draw your Valentine’s card. This time I’m going to share an idea of an Easy Valentine’s Card With One Colored Pencil. Yes, You will only need to use a pink colored pencil to draw your own Valentine’s card. It’s easy and quick to do, and of course it looks super sweet for Valentine’s Day. Let me show you how I draw my Valentine’s card step by step.

Things To Prepare

Super short list of supplies for this Valentine’s card, and your main tool is your hand. Let’s see what are the list supplies which were used to make this Easy Valentine’s Card With One Colored Pencil :

  • A drawing paper (I used B5 paper size)
  • Pink colored pencil
  • Black drawing pen

How To Make

To show how much I love my loved ones, I drew lots of hearts. It’s easy and will take less than an hour to draw even for those who doesn’t used to draw. Anyway, just follow these easy steps on how to draw an Easy Valentine’s Card With One Colored Pencil :

1 . Fold your drawing paper into two, neatly.

2. Now, draw a frame with one line by using pink colored pencil. It doesn’t have to be very straight lines, it can be a little bit shaky lines.

3. Next is to draw many hearts in a different sizes and orientation. Some are big, small, medium, or tiny. Some are facing left, some are to the right and some just straight. I was starting with drawing a big hearts first then follow by smaller and smaller hearts.

4. It’s time to color it. Start to color some hearts in darkest pink. Press your pink colored pencil while coloring to get a darker pink. Try to scatter the colored hearts.

5. Repeat it to some other hearts, but this time, loose your pressure to the colored pencil to have a lighter color than before.

6. Do it again with even lighter pink, so you will get 3 shades of pink; dark pink, medium pink and light pink.

7. Your hearts coloring is finished, so now take your black drawing pen and write “/lav/” which is how to pronounce “love”. And on the inside, write down “That’s how you say it”. Finished!

I think is super cute and you can make more of this Valentine’s card easily. You can change the pink color with other favorite color of your loved ones, like maybe red, purple or even blue. Well, but if you want to stick to the traditional Valentine’s color, then use a pink colored pencil.

DIY Valentine’s Gift Pink Container With Initial

Valentine’s Day is a month to come, it’s time to think about our loved ones. A loving thought that is best being expressed in a tangible thing, a Valentine’s Day Gift! Yes, and I have an idea for a little cute gift for Valentine; A DIY Valentine’s Gift Pink Container With Initial. This glittery pink container is great for Valentine’s Day gift. You can fill it with sweets, cute hair clips, some mini cosmetics, anything! And of course the initial is the initial of your loved one’s name. More great news is that the Valentine’s container is super easy to make. Let see my tutorial!

Things To Prepare

Like always, I use things that I can find on my craft supplies. I don’t intentionally buy new supplies unless it’s an essential part of my project that I don’t have. Let’s see what are the list supplies which were used to make this DIY Valentine’s Gift Pink Container With Initial :

  • Small Pringles can
  • Pink pattern paper wrap (mine is with Robin and flowers pattern)
  • Pink glitter craft foam
  • Pink ribbon
  • A white drawer knob plus a screw
  • Clear glue and paper glue

How To Make

To show how much we love our loved ones, an adorable pink glittery container with sweets or any cute mini gifts will definitely showers them with love. Anyway, just follow these easy steps on how to do DIY Valentine’s Gift Pink Container With Initial :

1 . Prepare a small Pringles can or any other similar can that you have with a lid. Make sure it’s cleaned. Unless you want to give a Pringles as a gift, then you can skip the cleaning part.

2. Cut the paper wrapper to the size of the can and then glue it to wrap the Pringles can. I chose the part where the paper has a Robin bird on it.

3. Next is to cut a pink glitter craft foam to cover the lid and cut out an initial. Be careful with the initial, don’t draw it on the wrong direction.

4. Now, after you paste the glitter pink circle and an initial to the wrapped can, it’s time for you to install a cute knob on the lid. Use a small screw to secure it.

5. Lastly, get some pink ribbon and wrap around the side of the lid. It’s a great finish for the lid to look better. Finished!

It’s your choice to send a can of Pringles with my decoration idea or use this empty decorated Pringles can as a container to your other mini gifts or sweets for Valentine’s Day. Whichever makes your loved ones happy, that one will surely the best to choose. Above all, this cute valentine’s gift container will steel any girl’s heart.

Super Easy DIY Felt Flowers

I was going through some of my craft supplies and I found my stash of felts. I was instantly wanted to do something with the felt, but then I thought of welcoming Spring. Okay, let’s just make some felt flowers, that would be fun. So, this felt flowers are super easy to make, you can even do it without drawing a pattern if you are handy with scissors. It would take you around 2 minutes to complete one flower. How easy and quick is that?!

I use my soft pink and white felt to make my flowers. I’m going to make more of them, but now I’m just going to show you some that I had made. I paired the soft pink with white to get a soft color of Spring. You can use other colors you like or colors that you have on your felt stash. Anyway you like. Let’s find out more how I made these adorably easy felt flowers.

Things To Prepare

For material, as most of my projects, I use things that I already have. In this case, I use soft colors of Spring that I have, which are soft pink and white. Anyway, let’s see what I use to make this Super EasyDIY Felt Flowers :

  • Pink felt
  • White felt
  • Pearl beads (white)
  • Glue

How To Make

It’s easy to make, so you can make lots of them and use it to decorate other project. Now, gather all the supplies which I’ve mentioned above and follow these easy steps on how to make Super Easy DIY Felt Flowers :

1 . First, determine the size of flower that you want. From there you can decide how big a circle of felt that you need to cut.

2. The circle shape will be cut into spiral. The spiral felt is going to be the flower.

3 .Now, form a circular motion on the spiral felt until finished. Don’t forget to apply glue on the bottom side of the felt white you twirl it.

4. Finish it off with pearl bead in the middle of the flower, use clear glue to secure it. Finished!

5. To have a different variation, I beveled the spiral to get a petal shape. You can also make a pointy petal shape to have more variations. Just be creative with it.

Super easy and quick way to make a flower out of felt. Great project to start with in this early Spring. You can use them for bouquets, wreaths, decorations and many more. Have fun with felt flowers!

Upcycled Valentine Wall Decoration

I was so excited when Julie from Sum Of Their Stories invited me to join her Monthly Sustainable Pinterest Challenge. What is this Sustainable Pinterest Challenge? For the explanation, scroll down below, I just copy paste it from Julie. Lol, I hope she doesn’t mind.

The Pinterest Challenge has had a bit of a reboot for 2022 and is now the Sustainable Pinterest Challenge. Each month I join a group of creative bloggers and we select a pin or two to we feel inspired by and give it a go. Starting in January 2022 the Pinterest Challenge has a sustainable, eco friendly twist to it. All the projects shared will have something about them that involves recycling, upcycling, a general ethos of reducing waste and using what we have. It’s not about beating ourselves with a stick, it’s just about giving thought to how we can make small changes in our lives just a little more sustainable and reduce our impact on the environment.

This month the theme is “From The Kitchen” so I thought of my broken baking pan right away. I couldn’t use it anymore as it’s already leaked, but I still keep it. Yup, I’m a bit of a hoarder. Then I spotted a round wall decoration on Pinterest which inspired me to make use of the ring side of my old baking pan into a Valentine Wall Decoration. I incorporated my Valentine Card from CD into this project. So, let’s find out more on how I made it.

Things To Prepare

For this upcycling project, I took my old project of Valentine Card From CD as one of the main ornament. So, this is actually an upcyling upcycled project. LOL! I sometimes do that if I think of new idea of incorporating my old project with the new one. And this Valentine wall decoration is a great way to preserve your precious Valentine card from your loved one. Anyway, let’s see what I use to make this Upcycled Valentine Wall Decoration:

  • A Valentine card made out of CD (click to learn how I made it) or you can use any of your Valentine card or ornament.
  • Old baking pan (just use the outer ring side, it’s a removable baking pan – springform pan)
  • White paint
  • Pink checkered ribbon
  • Gold ribbon
  • Glue

How To Make

It’s so easy to make, and super quick. Most of all it’s an upcycling decoration from the kitchen. Now, gather all the supplies which I’ve mentioned above and follow these easy steps on how to make Upcycled Valentine Wall Decoration :

1 . Take the old outer ring of the springform pan and clean it. Let it dry. Then you can paint it effortless with white paint to make a rustic look which I like. Leave it to dry.

2. Continue with inserting the ribbon hanger of the CD Valentine Card in the pan’s lock. Secure it.

3 .Make a ribbon out of gold and pink checkered ribbon. Paste the ribbon to the top of the ring, by the lock. Done! Hang it somewhere that you like to decor your home with Valentine’s vibes.

Now let’s take a look at what the other Sustainable Pinterest Challenge participants have made for their “From The Kitchen” challenge.

DIY Valentine Card From An Old CD

Valentine’s Day is still one month ahead, yet love is in the air. A Valentine’s Day without a Valentine’s card is a no no! A DIY Valentine’s card is even more meaningful than a card you bought at shop. Therefore, try my DIY Valentine Card which i made from an old CD. Yes, a CD upcyling project again. I’m trying to upcycle and recycle all my stash of old CDs. Actually, I found so many things you can make out of old CDs. So, scroll down and see what are the supplies and how I made this Valentine Card from a CD.

Things To Prepare

These are supplies that very common to crafter. And an old CD is laying somewhere at anybody’s home. So, it’s a Valentine upcycling project with simple materials. Anyway, let’s see what I use to make this DIY Valentine’s Card From An Old CD:

  • A CD
  • Pink shades patterned paper
  • Pink paper
  • Pink felt
  • Gold ribbon
  • Glue
  • Drawing Pen

How To Make

It’s so easy to make, this can be a last minute DIY Valentine’s card to make. It’s cute and it would not be easily spoiled. Now, gather all the supplies which I’ve mentioned above and follow these easy steps on how to make DIY Valentine’s Card From An Old CD :

1 . Take an old CDs and paste the patterned paper on one side. Let it dry.

2. Continue with inserting a gold ribbon to the front and back of CD. Secure it by applying pink paper on the other side.

3 .Cut a heart shape out of a pink felt and paste it in the middle of the patterned side.

4. Get a drawing pen a write “Be My Valentine” on the pink side. And your Valentine Card is finished!

My DIY Valentine Card from CD is super easy and quick to make. It’s one of a great way to upcycle old CDs. You can give it as a card and or hang it on anywhere you like as decoration. Anyway, you can also check out my other Valentine DIYs.

DIY Valentine’s Gift Paper Weight

DIY paper weight can be a great Valentine’s gift for him and for her. It’s useful yet decorative. A Valentine DIY gift would be more meaningful and cost you less. My DIY Valentine’s Gift Paper Weight is a wonderful idea for those who doesn’t know what to gift her partner with something Valentine but not girly pink. Plus, it is so easy to make.

My DIY Valentine’s Gift Paper Weight is in black, a little gold and sparkling red look; fit for him or for her. It does look mature and has sophisticated colors. Therefor, your loved one can use it on his or her office and always remembers you. Don’t you like that?! Scroll more to see how I made it so easy.

Things To Prepare

Actually this is my upcycled project; I used my previous Pumpkin Place Card and re-purpose it as a Valentine Paper Weight. So, upcycling project doesn’t have to be always using old materials or things, but you can also re-purposing your own old project and turn it into new DIY. But I will still explain to you from scratch on how I made the paper weight. For more details, here are the list of the things I used for my DIY Valentine‘s Gift Paper Weight:

  • Ice sticks
  • Wood glue
  • Black paint
  • Gold paint
  • Red sparkling pipe cleaner (or any other color of your favorite)

How To Make

It is a simple and super easy DIY Valentine you can give him or her. You can use different color of pipe cleaner that you know your Valentine would love. Let me share the step by step on how I made my Valentine’s Gift from re-purposing my old Thanksgiving project :

1.Gather a handful of popsicle and tie it with rubber band. For smaller pumpkin, cut the popsicle into two.

2.Apply some wood glue on top and bottom of the popsicle pumpkin and let it sit for while until it’s dry.

3.Paint the undone paper weight with black paint. Let it dry.

4.Paint upper and below side with gold paint. Let it dry.

5.Take a red sparkling pipe cleaner and tilt it around the paper weight with the shape of a heart on top. And your Valentine’s gift is done!

It is super quick and super easy to make. Be creative by adding some personal decoration to the paper weight, maybe some initials or symbol on the Valentine paper weight. So, what are you waiting for? You still have a week to try this DIY Valentine’s Gift Paper Weight. Happy crafting!
