It’s easy and affordable to make but the look is super glamour in gold and silver. Let’s find out how I made it!

Things To Prepare

Super easy to make and easy-to-find supplies. It’s just great for fun and glamorous New Year party props. Let’s see what are the list supplies which used to make this DIY New Year Photo Booth in Silver and Gold :

  • Cardboard
  • Gold paper
  • Silver paper
  • Gold ribbon
  • Silver snowflake blings
  • Glue

How To Make

This is a very simple way to wrap a Christmas gift but the result is surely able to show how much our love. Anyway, just follow these easy steps on how to do DIY New Year Photo Booth in Gold and Silver :

1 . Cut a big cardboard into a frame, the size is depend on how big you wanted.

2. Wrap the cardboard frame with gold paper.

3 .Cut some gold and silver paper in a shape of rectangle. Fold each paper in zig zag. Then fold the middle to get a center dot and open the folded zig zag and turn it into a flower look.

4. When you enough silver and gold flower folded papers, attach them one by one to the gold frame. Arrange them like I did or as you like, but try to group them to look nice.

5. Continue to decorate the gold frame with gold ribbon. I tied around the frame with loose tie on the front and I secure it with glue at the back of the frame.

6. The last decoration for the gold frame photo booth is to spread some silver snowflakes on the frame. Glue it one by one until you’re happy with the look. Finished! You’ve got yourself a New Year Photo Booth in glamorous gold and silver!

This fancy gold and silver photo booth will look awesome for your New Year of 2023 party, especially with additional props that I’ve made from recent years. Check these out!

DIY New Year’s Eve Hat

OMG! New Year’s Eve is less than a week! Have you prepared your New Year’s Eve Party supplies? Save some money and make your own New year’s party supplies, like what I did. I made a DIY New Year’s Eve Hat out of a tissue core! Yes, a tissue core and a paper plate that I turned into a fancy gold New Year’s hat. It’s easy to do for your short New Year’s preparation.

A tissue core is so useful. Tissue cores are treasure to me. I don’t know when and what I can make out of them. I have made a lot of tissue core projects where I turned it into many different things with many different uses and looks. It’s so fun and such a great feeling if you can turn the tissue core “trash” into something new and useful and of course pretty. Just like this New Year’s Eve Hat.

Things To Prepare

I think it would be easy for you to prepare a tissue core and a small paper plate at home. The other gold supplies can be easily replaced with whatever gold supplies you have. Like for example; my gold starry tape can be replaced with a gold ribbon. Be creative with the hat’s decoration. Anyway, let’s see what I use to make this DIY New Year’s Eve Hat:

  • Tissue core
  • Gold starry tape
  • Gold glittered origami paper
  • Gold paper wrap
  • Gold paper plate
  • Black thin ribbon
  • Black drawing pen
  • Stapler
  • Clear glue

How To Make

It’s easy and quick to make my gold New Year’s Hat. It’s like wrapping some presents, because you just cut and paste mostly. Now, gather all the supplies I’ve mentioned above and follow these easy steps on how to make DIY New Year’s Eve Hat :

1 . Have a gold paper wrap and use it to wrap the tissue core and also cover one of the hole. Secure it with clear glue. Set aside to dry.

2 .Take a paper plate and wrap it too with gold paper. Mine was already gold on one side, so I just need to wrap the bottom side of the paper plate with gold paper. Glue it and let it dry.

3. Cut a black ribbon or you can also use gold ribbon and staple it to the bottom of the wrapped paper plate. Then cover it with more gold paper. You can use the ribbon to tie the cute New Year’s hat onto your head. And it’s best to wear it on one side of your head, not in the center.

4. Now put together the wrapped tissue core and the gold paper plate with glue.

5. Now, while waiting for the hat to dry and firm; take a glittered origami paper and cut it into a tiny sign. Write Happy New Year on it. If you want to add the year 2022, it’s up to you, but I prefer not so that I can use it again next year. Yes, cheap! Lol!

6. Apply the starry gold tape around the top of the tissue core hat and also at the bottom. But not to low, spare some space from the bottom.

7. Now, glue the Happy New Year sign in front of the hat, on top of the starry bottom tape. And it’s done!

How cute and elegant this New Year’s Eve Hat. Who would have thought this gold fancy hat was coming from a tissue core and a paper plate. So, what are you waiting for? Gather all tissue cores and paper plates at home and start making this gold New Year’s Eve hat for all your family. Isn’t that fun? You can check out my other New Year’s DIYs. Happy New Year crafting!

DIY New Year Wishing Tree 2021

New Year of 2021 is just in a few days, so exciting! There are many hopes and wishes for the next coming year as we all have tasted the bitter of year 2020 because the pandemic. I’m not sure things will be a lot better very soon but as a human, I always have hopes and dreams from my faith for things to get back to be normal, maybe some miracle happens. Well, let’s get back to happy thoughts, let’s cheer up the new year of 2021 with big and wonderful wishes! And I got something to do that, a gold DIY New Year Wishing Tree 2021.

It’s a super easy DIY new year, with a gold touch. Well, I guess I always try to share a simple diy for everyone to easily follow. Easy, quick and inexpensive to make, but beautiful and functional, that’s the main idea and of course creativity it’s the essence. This DIY wishing tree will be my last DIY for year 2021, a wishful tree, a wishful creativity for year 2021. No more further, let’s go through all simple supplies I used and steps on how I made the new year wishing tree.

Things To Prepare

You can always be creative with materials to use, find things that you have which similar to things I use. The strength should be at least the same, because that’s the only things that matter. The look you can always paint it or cover it with other material to make it similar. Try to use used or scraps that laying somewhere in your home and upcycle it. By the way, here are the things I used for my easy diy new year 2021 wishing tree:

  • Sticks ( I used pvc panel and cut them into sticks with 1/2 – 3/4 inch; you can replace it with wooden sticks or other material)
  • Some small planks which cut into small circles, rectangles and squares ( again, I used pvc panel, and you can use wooden panel or others).
  • UHU glue
  • A gold wired ribbon
  • gold paint
  • Black marker

How To Make

My wishing tree is super easy to make, it is mostly a cutting works. Anyone can make this new year wishing tree. It only took me six simple steps on how to make my new year 2021 wishes hanging on my wishing tree:

  1. Measure and cut all sticks needed for the wishing tree. Those sticks are:
  • Two squares of 3×3 inches for the base plate. Don’t forget to drill a hole in the middle to insert a main trunk.
  • One of 3/4 inch wide and 17 inches long of stick as the main trunk.
  • Four of 1/2 inch wide of sticks as the branches. The length are variation from 6 to 12 inches long.

2. Measure and cut some small circles (diameter of two inches), rectangles (1×2 inches) and squares (2×2 inches) plank for the wishing ornament. Don’t forget to drill a hole on each of the ornament for hanger. The amount and measurement of the wishing ornament are all up to you, you can adjust it according to your need and like.

3. Glue the trunk by applying glue and insert it on the base plate. After drying, glue each of the branches to the trunk. Let it dry.

4. While waiting for the tree to dry and firm; get the wishing ornament and paint it gold. Let it dry.

5. Insert and secure a gold wire ribbon a s a hanger to each wishing plank ornament.

6. Write by using black marker the words “I wish” and “We wish” on each of the wishing plank. And then you can write your wishes on the back of each wishing plank ornament. Then you can hang them on your wishing tree. Done!

Cute and easy and super meaningful DIY New Year! You can still use the wishing tree for other decoration purposes once the new year is past. So, what are you waiting for? Make this wishing tree and make the best wishes for next year of 2021! Gather all your family member and have them make the wishing tree together and each get to write their wishes. Isn’t that fun? I know my son wishes for a lot of plant vs zombie toys đŸ˜€ Have fun! More best wishes, more best things come true!

Happy New Year 2020

Dear My Lovely Readers,

Happy New Year 2020! May all best wishes come true in this new year of hope and new beginnings! Thanks for all the love, likes, visits, and beautiful comments! Good bye to year of 2019; great experiences, memories and lessons to be treasured in new year of 2020.

Picture110

I drew this Happy New Year greetings on my old desk calendar. Do you remember that I’ve made a wire Christmas tree from old desk calendar? Yes, that was it, I drew it on the other side of it. I drew some pretty snowflakes and a happy new year calligraphy by using a silver acrylic marker from Miniso. It’s a great contrast between silver and dark blue. I also added some twinkles around the wording by using Miniso acrylic painter in gold.

I hope you enjoy my New Year greetings as much as you will be enjoying New Year’s Eve celebration of welcoming the year of 2020. Once again, Happy New Year to you all! Much love to you and thank you very much!

How To Make Easy New Year’s Party Hat

New Year celebration is counting, four more days to New Year’s eve! How exciting! I’ve made magic wand as a New Year Wishing Wand for my kid to have fun with on New Year party. Now I need some New Year’s Party Hat! I made a sparkling and festive New Year’s hat which is so easy and super low budget. I used only sparkling pipe cleaner and confetti I’ve made myself from sparkling gold and red papers. You do not need expensive gem ornaments or gem stickers that would cost you more than diy confetti from sparkling papers.

Picture102

Things to Prepared

Basically you only need three materials to make this New Year’s Party Hat. These are my list to make my New Year’s hat :

  • Duplex card paper
  • Red and gold sparkling papers
  • Red and gold pipe cleaner
  • UHU Glue

Picture98

How To Make

  1. Make a full circle (around 16 inches diameter) to make two hats from duplex card paper. I used a big pot cover to make the circle, easier and fast. Cut it into two but before that, cut 2.5 inches to the left and right so it’s not exactly half circle.
  2. Glue the pipe cleaner on top and fold a little glue area of one side to be attached to another side.
  3. Glue the two sides together by using UHU glue and leave it dry. don’t forget to press the glued area tight to secure it.
  4. Form the pipe cleaner in your desired shapes. I got heart shape for the red one and gold pipe cleaner as a star.
  5. Make sparkling red and gold confetti from sparkling papers by using a paper puncher.
  6. Apply some glue in small area of the hat where you can attach the red confetti to red heart shape hat and gold confetti to the gold star shape hat. Attach it area per area and try to start from bottom with dense confetti and scattered to top. Finished! If you want to wear securely on your head, attach some elastic rope or band to your sparkling new year’s party hat!

Picture100

Invite your kids to form the pipe cleaner and glue those confetti to the new year’s party hat to finish it quicker and have fun together. Be experimental with the pattern of the confetti on your party hat. It’s super easy new year’s party hat anyone can make. It’s easy to make, sparkling and festive for the New Year’s Eve Party! I’m sure kids and adults would love your sparkling New Year’s Party Hat. Looking glamour with easy to make New Year’s Party Hat, want to try?

How To Make Wishing Wand For New Year

It’s only a week until New Year’s Eve! How exciting it is! Kids and grown ups celebrating the new year of 2020. Good wishes is going to be a great hope on the night of the New Year. I too prepared a wishing wand for my kid to celebrate this new year. And I’m sharing with you on how to make the wishing wand for you to have fun on New Year’s Eve.

It’s an easy DIY, but the more complicated the wishing wand design you make, the more it takes time to do. I tried to make as simple but festive as I could. I choose gold and red color as the main color and a touch of blue. Those are the colors that look very attractive and festive for New Year.

Picture94

Things to Prepared

I used as cheap things as I could and try to make use of things that I already have on my stash. So I hope you can go creative with the materials that I used and try to substitute it with things that you do not need to buy. These are my list to make my New Year wishing wand :

  • Duplex card paper
  • Red and gold sparkling paper
  • Blue glitter dust
  • Silver ribbon
  • Balloon stick
  • Glass plastic
  • UHU Glue

Picture93

How To Make

Bring along your kids to make this wishing wand and maybe make more than one wishing wand to have fun with on New Year’s Eve. But, please let me share first on how I made the wishing wand.

  1. Cut two star shapes out of the duplex card paper.
  2. Cover one side of each star with red and gold sparkling paper and leave the white side alone.
  3. Cut the gold star on the inner to form a frame of star.
  4. Glue star shape glass plastic to the back of gold frame star.
  5. Fold the red and gold sparkling left over papers, glue it and use it to make the confetti by using a paper puncher.
  6. Use the gold card from cutting the gold star frame remain to make three little stars.
  7. Glue the three little stars each to a silver ribbon.
  8. Cover the balloon stick with silver ribbon by whirling it around the stick and secure it with UHU.
  9. Apply glue along the frame of the star and put the balloon stick together with the three ribbon with little stars on the bottom, altogether and press it hard until it secure. But remember to leave the top of the star open to fill in the confetti and glitter dust. And don’t fill it too full, leave some space for shaking purpose.
  10. Secure the top of the star and let it dry. Your wishing wand is ready for New Year celebration. Shake shake your wand and make a wish!

Well, hope you enjoy making the wishing wand with your kids, nieces, nephews and grand kids and be ready for 2020 New year celebration!

Upcycling Table Calendar Into A Personalized 2019 Planner

Upcycling Table Calendar Into A Personalized 2019 Planner

All this time I have been thinking of what to do with old table calendar, as it is such a waste to just throw it away. It’s thick, made from fine papers, wouldn’t be great to be used as something new? Until I have this idea of making a personalized planner to organize 2019. It would be a table planner actually, not in a form of a book.

It is a very simple looking planner in order to give you more freedom to personalized it with your style and have it interesting / eye-catching in your own way. As simple as it look, the making was also simple. I followed the old 2018 table calendar color that I had and try to match it. It’s blue and I happened to have blue papers, so it became a blue planner.

picture1

Okay, let’s list down things to prepare for upcycling old table calendar into a nice handy personalized planner to organize your 2019 :

  • Old table calendar
  • Blue papers
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Flower ornaments
  • Glue
  • Drawing pen

picture2

The steps to upcycling table calendar into a personalized planner for 2019 are simple and easy :

  1. Cut the blue papers into a size that enough to cover all picture of the calendar, but not entire page,  leave a bit for a frame.
  2. Glue each cut paper to each page of the old table calendar. Let it dry.
  3. Decorate as you wished, I decorated the planner in very simple look. That way, I can personalized it while filling my 2019 planner.
  4. I  used popsicle sticks to write month and the yearly planner; January – December, My 2019 Planner, My 2020 Sneak Peek. And I finished it with flowers ornaments, each on both sides.
  5. I drew columns and hand wrote the week, the notes, the months. If you wanted to be more instant, just print out the blue papers before you paste it to the old calendar. It’s faster and easier. But, hey, where’s the fun? đŸ˜€
  6. Your Personalized 2019 Planner is finished!

picture3

What a cheap fun planner to organize your 2019. That’s what you get from upcycling table calendar and use a bit of creativity to make it attractive. The old table calendar was not attractive calendar and the color blue is quite difficult to work with, that is why I stayed in shades of blue. But you might get lucky and have a more attractive old table calendar with more neutral color to be upcycled into a better 2019 planner that you can personalized. Well, happy hunting old table calendar and planning for exciting 2019!

No need planner to be creative!

See you next week!
