DIY Pot Of Gold Shamrock

St. Patrick’s Day is weeks to come but I guess some of you have think of what to make for decorations. I have this cute St. Patrick’s Day decoration to share with. It’s a DIY Pot of Gold Shamrock. I chose gold instead of green because most of ideas are already in green. It would be gorgeous if you put together the green decorations together with my gold pot and other gold decoration you have for St. Patrick’s Day. You can also check out my other green shamrocks I’ve made before, like DIY 3D Shamrock, Lucky Shamrocks Wall Decoration, Lucky Shamrock Sign, Shamrock From Seashells. As for this Gold Pot, scroll down to see my simple tutorial on how to make a gold pot with gold shamrock.

Things To Prepare

For material, as most of my projects, I use things that I already have. So, you can use any supply you have that similar to make this gold pot with gold shamrock. Anyway, let’s see what I use to make this DIY Gold Pot :

  • Black pot (mini size)
  • Gold ribbon
  • Gold paper
  • Gold paint
  • White gravel (small size)
  • Cardboard
  • Gold glitter dust
  • toothpick
  • black marker
  • Glue

How To Make

It’s easy to make, so you can make several gold pot if you like. Now, gather all the supplies which I’ve mentioned above and follow these easy steps on how to make DIY Pot Of Gold Shamrock :

1 . Make sure the black pot is clean and dry. If you don’t have black pot, use any color pot and paint it in black.

2. Take a gold ribbon and tie a bow on the upper side of the pot.

3 .Now, draw a lucky clover by using glue on the pot and sprinkle some gold glitter dust. Clean the glitter on undesired area by using cotton bud or just a toothpick. You can also use other method; by drawing a lucky shamrock on a piece of paper, cut it and use it as a mold to apply glue and glitter.

4. Take some small white gravel and fill in the gold pot. Once it full to the top, paint the top gravel with gold paint. Don’t forget to sprinkle some gold glitter on top before the paint dry.

5. I actually made the gold shamrock first. So, get a cardboard and cut in the shape of lucky shamrock. Apply gold paper on both side of the gold shamrock and insert a toothpick.

6. Write “Luck” by using black marker on one side of the gold lucky shamrock. Insert it on the gold pot. And you’re done!

If you have different sizes of black pot, you can make three gold pots and gold shamrocks like mine with three different sizes of pot. It would look great as a centerpiece. I love the golden look for this year’s St. Patrick’s Day decoration. It looks fancy! Do you fancy it?
